He was downright scary defensively tonight. Impressed with his aggression.

Disagree. he is starting to relax and just play. He made an outstanding move 2 nite from the 3 point line. Oh did I mention he can glide and fly ? I see a guy who will be a Rocket for many moons.

Great game by Rob. box score says 5 turnovers. Maybe I wasn't paying attention because I don't remember any of them. Were these blatant mistakes by Robinson?

EDIT: Actually I remember a bad traveling call when Rob schooled Zeller.

Carl, he's a rookie, he wasted on the bench, and now he is building confidence with the top shelf big man coaches we are blessed with. imo, i think he's looking like the future.

Jumps out of the gym. Easily the most physically impressive guy on our roster.

Good to see the Rockets becoming the more athletic team on the court rather than the more "gritty", "lunchpail", or "underdog" team this year. With all due respect to Luis Scola and Kyle Lowry.

At least two of the TOs were for traveling, and one was definitely a terrible call.

wow.....I think it's too soon to make blanket statements on these two.

I luv the totally different games they play. Could start to drive coaches crazy on defending them. I know one thing both know what to do with the ball when close to the rim. Slam it !

Also I was at the game that face up on Walton were he put the ball on the ground was not a travel I couldn't tell at first Because he moves so fast but once they showed it on the jumbo screen he clearly didnt move his pivot foot and made and outstanding drive to the hoop.

Trob is gonna be a beast in this league I no it's just one game but he's getting better each day and is understanding the game. His rebounding and defense are just downright very good. He has good instincts on passing also and the offense is starting to click. Once he gets a mid range jumper watch out guys gonna be a Allstar 2 way player. Dmo better watch out cause while he did have a good game a few more great games by Trob on both sides of the ball. He just has that something about him that you like to see in young bigs he has the confidence in his game tht I just done see in dmo.

I find a lot of fun watching TRob hustling and messing around. He is still learning the game but already an X-factor in the defensive end. You never know what will happen when TRob is there. The King fans think TRob is busted but he is playing nice games for Rockets. He is going the right direction, proving the kings all wrong that's the funniest thing to watch.

In rebounding, 1 or 2 inches to the top of their head are less of a factor than wingspan and vertical.
T-Rob is 6'9" with 7'1" wingspan, 8'10" standing reach which is about par for 6'10" players. And above average 35.5 vertical. NBA average is 25".

(For comparison, Rodman was only 6'6" but with 7'4" wings, high motor and vert.)

he's definitely shown flashes of what he may become. beginning of next season is going to be real interesting because dmo and trob are gonna be battling it out, either for starting or for second unit if the rockets pick up a pf in the summer.

I really believe in Robinson as our future at the PF position. A 15 points 10 rebounds guy.
It don't prevent us to make all that we can to bring in Josh Smith who can play both 3 and 4 position.

That crossover where he was called for traveling was freaking amazing. In fact, it was such a great move that the refs couldn't even believe he could do it which is why he was credited with a bogus turnover. I was sure he travelled too until seeing the replay in slow motion because people his size just don't typically have the ability to move that fast and the few that do are stars. That one play that didn't even count showed me all I needed to see and why Morey was high enough on him to give up 2Pat in the middle of a playoff push. Now it's a matter of working and getting better. Both he and the team need to be dedicated to that goal. So far it looks like they are. I feel good about all our rooks...well except for the one with the mental issues. They all have way more upside than Morris and I think Patterson level is their floor, not ceiling.

By the way, real funny how nobody bumps the Patterson and Douglas threads after we get good games from their replacements or after yawn inducing performances from those guys like they turned in last night. Where are the highlights from Sac's game yesterday? I mean, they were models of consistency when they were here right? No...they were up and down veterans, but some seem to forget that and are more critical of our up and down rookies. Shameful...expect a bump tonight if we lose though. I'm sure 2Pat and Douglas would have carried us to victory tonight and against our upcoming match ups with the Pacers and Clippers just like they did earlier in the year. Oh wait...smh

T-Rob can be Amare after micro surgery. Shoot the jumper and attack the rim. He has shown he can outmuscle people, and his quickness is elite for a PF. No doubt he will be a very good player. Patterson lacked the skill set to be a star, like Parsons who has already reached his plateau.

There are many teams for whom getting a player this young, this athletic, and with this much potential for a below average starter would be the long term move of the year.

Of course, for us, it's FOURTH.

Gotta love being a Rockets fan.

DeMo can shoot from mid range, but shouldn't be taking many 3's. T-Rob is a weaker shooter than him,but he does have more upside.
