He did spend 3 years in college, which makes me more reticent about his game, but I do agree with you overall 100%. Most guys would benefit greatly and have the opportunity to advance their skills during in-game situations in college. Most importantly, they would have the confidence to fail utilizing a new move and still come back and try it again. It's a little more intimidating when you have guys worried about being on Shaq'n-a-fool and the Not Top 10 and all that crap...

I saw that too. Dmo sulking on the bench and not congratulating his teammates. He talks a good game to the media about how ppl should be afraid of him and not going in the woods if you're afraid of wolves, and blah blah blah. You don't here about him coming early and staying late.

When he came here, Trob said his career will show the type of player he will be. It's not about the now. He has a great work ethic and shows so much potential that the haters will be eating crow one day.

That's not an issue. You can coach a player to play within himself. You can also coach a player so he can learn to drive under control to keep the opponents from stripping it. You can't actually teach a player to have a handle.

I'd much rather have TRob's overconfidence in his own handles than for him to have no handles.

In addition to a lack of drive, Hill also had no defensive instinct, which Robinson have. Hill also has no feel for the game(or BBIQ if you will), while Robinson seems to have.

In addition, Robinson's a more naturally gifted rebounder and not nearly the klutz at fumbling the ball.

I'd put the similarity in draft position solely due to Hill being projected as a center or C/PF. While TRob was a clear PF from the beginning.

You're funny feeling was validated tonight. Not sure of his numbers in Sacramento, but this could have been his career game so far!

he looks like a completely different player some nights. On one he can't even catch the ball and the other he'll have some nifty post moves.

Robinson went 6-7 tonight for 15 points and 6 rebounds.

Had 3 steals and 2 blocks.

I have to say that this team plays bigger now since the trade. These guys D-mo and Robinson are inexperienced and make a lot of mistakes...but they are not shy of going inside and hustling for rebounds like our past two players.

Trob had 5 turnovers and still made a bunch of mistakes many young players will make. But in 22 minutes he played with more aggression and made more positive moves to the basket than I have seen Patterson make his 3 years here. b****ass players be b****ass players, I guess.

That's what you call "upside" and "needs time".

it seems like the scorer's table erroneously tallied him with a couple of the turnovers that were really bad passes tonight (from harden/brooks)....b/c i don't remember seeing 5

But, but, but... Patrick Patterson scored 11 points on 5-10 shooting with 4 rebounds in 31 minutes last night! He's clearly our missing piece!!! Damn you Moary!!!

He played well tonight. Really impressed with his defense. He's the anti-Patterson because he plays with so much power and aggression. He's done nothing but improve in his short time as a Rocket. He's got a chance to be a very good player.
