Pre-injury, he was at worst a top-15 CB, probably top 10. Post-injury, he's been decidedly average. He'll need a huge turnaround to warrant the franchise tag again - as it stands, he's vastly overpaid. The deal he rejected is probably more than he'll see in 9 months.

Glad he got fined, wish it were more. Write that on your shoes on the last game of the year after you've made the Pro Bowl. Not game 1 when you're getting waxed.

One more sign this team is close but in serious need of a new locker room atmosphere.

I don't know if anyone else heard it, but during an ESPN radio update by "the Duke" before a segment of Cowherd, I heard him report the story about the shoes. But the best part was how he introduced it. I can't remember exactly how he said it but basically it was like "Dunta Robinson, who you've never heard of, is a corner back for the Houston Texans who wrote 'Pay Me Rick' on his shoes Sunday. A message to General Manager Rick Smith, who is paying him 10 million dollars this year." I don't remember exactly what he said now, but I'm pretty sure he said that nobody has heard of Dunta Robinson two times in that update.

Same here. I don't care if the Texans had beaten the Jets instead of getting whipped. It was still a jerky thing to do. His explanation was incredibly lame and I think he was lying through his teeth when he said he knew Rick Smith wouldn't take it personally. Just my opinion.

I remember you said you were hoping the shoes thing wasn't true, and I definitely remember you going off on the Stros team for the Bud shirts and rumored "Really" shirts aimed at Coop. Players have a right to be unhappy about all 3 situations, but you don't come to work with crap like that in the real world.

Imagine what would happen to any of us wore shoes to work telling our bosses to pay us, or shirts that questioned a fellow employee. I think we'd get fired.

This reminds me of when I played Madden in Boston with my classmates...If Dunta would get an interception, I would say, "Cant throw to that side"...and theyd think, "Wtf are you talking about"...its only because of that video game that they really have some sort of respect for his play on the field. But really, its true that not many people think he's a top CB. They may have heard of him, but not in terms of "Best CBs in football".

This guy strikes me as not the smartest person on the planet. And by that, I mean he's an idiot....Dunta that is. On what planet did he think what he did would be wise, funny or helpful to any cause, his own included? Moron.

Well to be honest, if he had had a four pick, 8 tackle, two touchdown day the message might have helped his cause.

Dunta has quickly moved into TMAC area code for me, just please go away so that I might forget you ever played for a Houston Franchise.

Yeah, but it explains why everyone THINKS he's a top tier CB. No need to throw to his receiver when a QB can throw it to Faggins'.

If Duanta gets his big payday, he needs to give a portion to Petey Faggins his contribution.

But they don't work in the REAL World . . .their world is so different than yours
and mine. . . . that comparison always makes me chuckle

Why would you try to make their world . . into our world.
