It makes me sad that this is true. A Ronaldinho with the heart of Messi is the greatest footballer ever. It's a good topic on it's own but Roni was the player that made me fall in love with Barca.
I think Landon Donovan is the best soccer player ever since he's american. No I dont think Howard counts cuz hes a goalie and that other guy doesnt count either!!!!! Donovan ALL WORLD SOCCER PLAYER WOOOOOOOO sarcasm/ Messi is still top player but Honestly, as far as strikers go, once you've reached a certain level, it's almost all the same (except fernando torres, hes just a let down when he's not batman). Scoring is difficult regardless.
I wonder how RVP feels about Rooney wanting to bolt away to PSG and now SAF apparently wanting to retire. Fun while it lasted?
I'm a United fan, but Van Persie is no where near Messi in terms of talent. He is not even beter than 2007-2008 Christiano Ronaldo.
Two big teams (will be only one left after this summer Mercato) and a pile of dross do not a great league make. The EPL has got much more depth in talent simply as a result of Sky money and sugar daddies. THAT IS A FACT.
Bundesliga and La Liga have 2 better teams than any team in the EPL. As a whole league, it is hard to deny the EPL's top clubs. Man U, Man City, Tottenham, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal are all going to shell out ****loads of money to buy whoever they want. RVP had a great year, stayed healthy and despite a late season drought his team was already on cruise control. The title was won back in January when Man U was falling behind every week yet always coming back in the 2nd half. Very resilient bunch, hats off to them.
No. 1 and no. 2 team in Europe. That's a fact. Best league in Europe at the moment. And the alleged depth in talent in the EPL certainly didn't show in European competition this year, with the exception of Chelsea in the Europa League. Again, kid, you should educate yourself before you post.
Messi is machine-like precision and execution. Perfect economy of energy and moves. Never a fancy step-over there or a little flip-flap here; just a straight forward drop of the shoulder and lightning acceleration once the defender has shifted his weight. Efficient. Non-fussy. Ronaldinho on the other hand just had the largest repertoire of free-style moves of any professional footballer. At his peak, he made it a point to entertain with ridiculous moves that actually had an end-product. He reminded many people that football is primarily a game and having fun is the first objective. Joga Bonito indeed. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/LAExZjcwydk?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> On a sidenote, do Barca fans have nightmares at night thinking at what could have been if the buck-toothed one did not destroy his career when at his peak by partying. Could have resulted in this team: Valdes Alves Pique Puyol Abidal El Cheat Busquets Xavi Iniesta Messi Eto'o Ronaldhino This team would have been unstoppable. Huge possession %, excellent penetration down the middle and flying wide forwards (2 top 10 players!) to provide width and beat any Chelsea-like tactics.

That's because United and Chelsea are in a rebuilding phase and City still hasn't got a manager that has a clue when it comes to European competition. Educate myself? LOL! The EPL has the bigger amount of talent than the Bundesliga. United boast of players like Rooney, Van Persie, Kagawa, Carrick, Nani, Vidic, Ferdinand, De Gea. City of course has got Aguero, Tevez, Toure, Silva, Kompany, etc. Chelsea has the most potential with an incredible young core of Hazard, Mata and Oscar; they are basically one competent manager(Mourinho) and a world class striker from competing again. Arsenal, though in decline still has got Wilshere, Chamberlain and Vermaelen. Tottenham is a rising force with Bale, Dembele, Holtby, Sandro and Verthongen. The thing is that those clubs have been in transition for the last two years with roster turn-overs. Be prepared for EPL domination again. What has the Bundesliga got? Two stacked teams pissing over the rest due to an enormous talent and financial gap that is fixed in stone...NO, actually it's ONE team pissing over the rest, and that's FC Hollywood as always.
None of the players you listed have ever won anything on an international level in recent years, except Mata. In fact, City got destroyed in the group stage of the Champions League two years in a row - by Bundesliga teams. Rooney is totally overrated. He and England got dominated by the German team at the world cup. Kompany used to play in the Bundesliga. He is decent, but there are better defenders. Kagawa also played in the Bundesliga. He is good, but Götze is way better. Carrick? LOL? Nani? LOL? Ferdinand? Old. De Gea? Decent, but there are 7 better keepers in the Bundesliga. Holtby - comes from the Bundesliga. He is decent, but Schalke let him go because Draxler is a 10 times better talent. All your list shows is that you watch the EPL a lot and therefore overrate their talent compared to the Bundesliga, which you do not watch at all. Champions league final: Two Bundesliga teams. Scoreboard. You lose. P.S.: I tell you some players from the Bundesliga the EPL teams are salivating over and which would make any team in the EPL better: Son, Draxler, Schuerrle, any Bayern player, any Dortmund player, several keepers such as Adler, Weidenfeller, Zieler, Trapp, Baumann, Giefer, Leno. They are all better than the best keeper in the EPL. There are also other talented players an Ignoramus like you would never have heard of, like Patrick Herrmann from Moenchengladbach. Basically, you are clueless about the Bundesliga. The players in the EPL I would like to see (back) in the Bundesliga are Kagawa, van Persie, Bale, Dzeko. You can keep the rest.
