Parish is a little wacky, he reminds me of Kareem. They simply lack the social skill to succeed in the NBA industry after their playing careers were over.

I was just thinking it today: a lot of great players seem to be d!cks and it doesn't surprise me at all. That might even include one of our Rockets. Jordan, Bird, Malone, Kobe, Pippen, whoever, the list can go on and on and on. . . . These guys want to slit your throat, everyone's throat, every single time, even playing foosball. These guys made a living on "only the strong survive." It's just the way it is.

Lol well than **** this whining b****. $80K job to do some 'PR'. I bet he just had to show up to their dinner events and socialise then he gets to collect $80K and he turned it down. What an entitled douchebag.

Some of these guys think that you can automatically be a good coach just because you played a good game when you were young.

He should speak to Clyde and learn from his experiences as a failure at U of Hech.

Some people aren't made to be coaches.

Some people aren't meant to be on "Dancing With the Stars" or to be color commentators either ;)

Yeah when you fail at coaching, become a really bad color commentator

Wait, Parish is calling his former teammates out for not hiring him?

I personally think its pretty crappy to "expect" things from friends. At the end of the day, they don't owe you anything if your friendship is based on what they can do for you.

Sounds pretty bitter to me. Look in the mirror pal. Maybe that guy is the problem here.

**** Parish. Probably a good reason for why they aren't . He wants a coaching job now that he's broke? How is that different from Scottie Pippen wanting a coaching job? When you recommend people for a coaching job and they turn out to be ****, it makes you look worse. Kind of like a couple of people recommending Isiah Thomas and regretting it after.

He doesn't sound that needy for cash either, giving up an $80K PR job with the Celtics....

When someone never answers your calls and only calls you when they need something, it gets old very quickly. Parish doesn't even consider Bird, McHale, and Ainge his friends. He knew them decades ago. Does he think he's the only former player that needs a job?

Just because he was a good big man in the past doesn't mean he'd be a good teacher.JVG hired Patrick Ewing to mentor Yao Ming, and he didn't learn a thing. You know who trained Yao instead? Thibs, and I don't even know if he played in the NBA.

From all accounts this dude just wants to make bank and has not kept up with the NBA at all. All he'd really do is waste money and time for a team, no wonder he has no job. Even this story is pathetic, calling your teammates SOBS for not giving you a job just because you have connections? LOL what a loser.
