I agree with Shapiro. If there is actual evidence outside of completely unrelated indictments Trump absolutely should be impeached and he will be even if the Republicans still control the House. So far we havent seen ANYTHING yet to even talk about it other than Democrat wet dreams.

I don’t understand how Trump could have so many people on his team indicted for various things and it is still considered a “Democrat wet dream” that he may be involved. It’s literally a nightmare that there is even a question about our President colluding with a hostile foreign government.

So many Russian meetings, self admitted obstruction, so many instances of lying. I don’t understand why there’s an argument of the validity of this investigation.

It’s obvious that many folks don’t care if they voted for a racist, treaty smashing, lying, dictator admiring criminal as long as it brings down their taxes (however comedically brief that will be) and keeps a Democrat out of office.

I’m not saying it is verifiable he is all those things, but simply that you don’t care if he is. This is where we find ourselves.

Edit - also confusing that many of his voters don’t see the slippery slope we are on and that, unless they’re in the one percent, they voted violently against their own interests.

I like most of that post. It makes sense and is obviously heartfelt. Personally, on your edit, I do think we have to give his voters more credit.

We can disagree with them, but I think millions of people firmly believe that Trump's negative qualities are mostly cosmetic and that he is better able to handle the complex modern world than HRC or Obama. I kind of think that's crazy and non-empirical, but they really believe that. They think liberals pose much more of an existential threat to our way of life than Two Scoops -- free-press abusing, treaty-breaking, America-firsting and all.

You know, you might like a book I'm currently enjoying. Philip Roth (who just passed away recently) wrote a book about 12 years ago now: The Plot Against America. It's an alternative history where Lindbergh wins the 1940 presidential election on an "America First" platform and keeps us out of World War II. Of course, that has big consequences for Europe, and for Jews world wide. Fascinating, complicated read, including all viewpoints treated in a human way, not vilified. Fascinating. We've been interventionist from WWII on, but before 1940, there were a lot of people who felt what Bannon and Trump et al. feel now: let's just mind our own business and making deals with dictators is not necessarily a bad deal if it serves our immediate interests (e.g. memorandum of understanding with Hitler to avoid war.)

EDIT: rambling on, @B-ball freak , you're seeing more and more people from the right start to attack FDR. I think it was @Commodore or someone like that who recently called him the worst president or something like that. I never thought I'd live to see so much negativity for the dude who led us out of the Great Depression, introduced a minimal safety net, and stood up to Hitler. But of course it was really debated. He won in 1940 but only with 54% of the total vote. Nearly 80 years is a long time, except when it really isn't, right?

What you are not grasping is that there are no indictments for collusion. Flynn's charge was lying to the FBI, in a situation where there is possible evidence that FBI agents changed his 302 report to suggest he lied. In other words, he never lied and they set him up. And that Flynn interview in question was regarding transition period interactions with the Russians, after the election. Manafort's indictments were for failing to register as a foreign agent for work done years in advance of the election. Many other indictments were process crimes. But the entire point of these indictments is not to keep America safe from Russian interference. It's to provide superficial eyewash so people like you think that the investigation is legitimate. Mueller is banking on people not digging in to the indictments to actually understand them... instead they just mindlessly say, "Mueller, indictment, must be collusion with Russia!" Be smarter than that. This is a public relations battle right now. And racking up indictments helps the Democrats in that battle. Never mind that many of them are fraudulent and all of them are unrelated to the original purpose of the Special Counsel.

Oh, and meeting with someone from Russia is not a crime. This is another manipulative point created by the media to trick people like you -- those who don't dig into the details. Media pile on + tangentially related meeting with ANYONE from Russia (not even government officials) = GUILTY! Be smarter than that. This is a classic case of liberals using emotions and not logic to render judgements.

There is no question that Trump colluded with Russia -- he most assuredly did not. The Special Counsel is a Comey-Brennan-Clapper-Strzok created method of 'taking out Trump'. Nothing more. It fuels liberals' fantasies but is quite horrible for the nation as a whole. But liberals don't care about that.

    GOOD DAY

I shouldn’t respond because I know your schtick but, if there’s nothing wrong with meeting with Russians, why are there repeated instances of their lying about it?

Eyewash? Several have made deals to turn witness.....so, witness to more process crime? You think this is over, that there will be no more indictments? Seems like republicans are doubling down on wishful thinking with a dose of obstruction to keep the investigation from running its course.

That was valid prior to the election but if they’re not seeing it by now, it’s because they choose not to. I’m sure he’ll blame the new tariffs and business/jobs leaving the US on Democrats.

I will check out the book and appreciate the suggestion.

Jorge did a pretty good job of replying about most of what you say but I do have a question, exactly what treaty did Trump "smash"?

LOL... fox & trump show has a guest that claims Mueller is too "secretive"... I thought trump defenders think Mueller leaks too much info?

Excellent post, B-ball freak. I agree with all of it, although I likely lean more towards collusion with the Russians than you do. I simply don't understand the support by some of the members here for trump. Putting aside trolls, and we have at least half a dozen here, plus Russian Legend (God knows what he is), how can they ignore what's going on? They are like the carriage horses with blinders on so that they are only facing in one direction while plodding down the road. It's bizarre. My respect for some of them is plummeting. They are playing the fool, and I thought they were smarter than they are displaying here on a regular basis. Obviously not so smart at all. Their reputations are in free fall, in my opinion. I'm not going to name them because I still have a faint hope that one or two will wake up to what trump is doing to our country, and our friends and allies.

Scoreboard buddy. In this war, a lesser indictment is minus three points. Reelection is six with a field goal kick of a Scotus appointment thirteen.

Apologizes are fumbles with a fifteen yard loss.

Praise The Jesus we have the ball!

For the real score, tune in to fair n balanced fox news.
