Nunes is the chairman of the HPSCI, the DoJ oversight body

There is no classified information that should ever be withheld from him, he is one of a select few that has a need to know all of it

Yeah but you'd want to keep it a secret if you were doing things you weren't supposed to be doing if you couldn't trust the oversight bodies to help sweep it under the rug for you.

I mean, it's the same reason why the FBI lied about the contents of the Nunes memo. The FBI and DOJ have pretty much proven that they will do or say anything when it comes to protecting their own from the consequences of their own wrongdoing.

Nunes is a traitor to the American People under the guise of a title and a suit.

    He has need of nothing.

    He is diplomatic immunity guy.

It's very unusual for the chairman to even request this type of information during an investigation.

But you are right, ultimately they have a requirement to comply (and they will) but it's not hard to understand why they don't WANT to give him information.

Wha? Didn't this guy need to recuse himself then un-recuse himself due to accusations he leaked info to the subject of the investigation? Perhaps a justifiable concern being shown by trump's own DOJ?

But it appears the temper tantrum has resided...

FBI had a spy in Trump's midst? That's great. I'll save my grave concern for when it can be demonstrated that his fourth amendment rights were actually violated.

Sadly I agree. I expect the information will only be misused for political gain, but that's for Nunes to decide, especially if Trump won't back the DOJ on withholding. I suppose if Nunes has leaked or intends to leak information in dereliction of his responsibility, the FBI could run an investigation of him to recommend punitive action by the House. But, I guess that only makes the whole climate worse.

In the matter of the Nunes memo, it was the FBI that was dishonest? lol

Well....yeah. The FBI was warning that the memo included classified information that would be damaging to national security and that was an outright lie. They didn't want the memo released because it painted the FBI in a negative light and exposed some wrongdoing by agents.

No, it wasn't an outright lie. That's been explained to you before. Basically, releasing classified information like that can make informants stop giving you information which would damage national security. You ignored it that time, so I'm not going into more detail on it again.

There was nothing major in the Nunes memo other than the FBI wrongdoing and FISA abuse allegations....so what you are saying is nothing but spin.

Explained before, and as usual, you ignore facts and just make up your narrative.

You mean you spun it earlier and that spin was rejected in favor of facts.

As the Hillary-huggers continue to shout "Russia" in a crowded theater (to no avail), it turns out that there other people who are using data to peer into Trump's winning strategy.

I don't think Hillary had so many Republican huggers. There are tons of Republicans also concerned about protecting America's democratic elections. Many of those Republicans are the ones doing the investigating. I don't think they qualify as Hillary Huggers.
