Robert Horry has never said anything negative about the Rockets or his time in this uppity burg. Yet he commends his current team which has given him so much more than the Rockets ever did and you condemn him! Robert Horry is a bigger man who always takes the high road.

Even though you smite him, he would still give you the shirt off his back. HORRY IS A STANDUP GUY!

Robert Horry is a more successful man than the Houston Astros. Robert Horry is a winner in the game of life.

I thought this thread was going to be Horry saying Duncan was a better player than Hakeem..

Spurs are like a big family, Pop, Duncan, Parker and that house wife chick probably all sleep in the same bed!

I know right. It would have been really tough to win those championships without him. Remember how awesome he played when the trade was rescinded cause of Elliot's health. He was a monster after that and you could see it in his eyes that he was angry but he took it out on the opposing team and not the organization. I will never forget that kind of professionalism and especially from such a young kid back then.

Oh and also, he is kind of the one that originated the high flying athletic shooting PF in 95 when we traded OT. Go back and watch some of those games and you will see why we needed him so bad. He was a great shotblocker back then too and pretty much made the same smart plays that has made him famous.

    professionalism?

i watched robert horry walk up and down the court during the regular season while with the rocks.

during the seattle series in 96, before game 4, he was already saying, "eh, we'll get 'em next year...can't win 'em all."

robert horry's entire career is summed up in unrealized potential...a very good player who is only very good when he chooses to be. a guy along for the ride with some of the greatest players the game has ever seen.

I don't think I've ever seen people have conversation with themselves like this, even quoting their own post, weird.

When I saw that piece last nite I knew somebody would start an uproar but seriously what did you expect him to say?

BIG SHOT BOB is a Houston LEgend
[Moreso that that bum they traded him for . . who has not shown a third of the loyalty. . . . in fact overly critisizes the Rockets]

    I'm sure you have.

    No he hasn't!

    Yes, he probably has.

He just SAID he's never seen it, why don't you leave him alone??

Why don't YOU mind your own busness and stay out of it

Well, YOU started it by accusing him of lying!

    Go to hell.

    Bite me.

    **** off!

I have to admit I am disappointed in Horry's "transformation" from Big Shot to Cheap Shot.

But I agree with those who say that Horry shows more loyalty to the Rockets than the Rockets show him. You trade your two brightest young players for a fat ass over-the-hill Barkley. You get what you ask for.

If the Horry era was so long ago that he doesn't need to massage our egoes every time he opens his mouth, then why do Rockets fans feel a need to canonize him in Rockets history? He's was journeyman, then a San Antonio Spur, and now a dirty player. Horry happened to be blowing through town when the Rockets won their championships. He was a hired mercenary.
