Yeah exactly. He was joking, but a bit too serious about having to earn it. T-mac's reaction makes this clip funny. Check out the interview with Vince Carter, T-mac is hilarious there too
Horry was Clutch as **** and gave his everything to the Rockets. Despite the trade that was never made, Horry came back with the right attitude and helped the team to another ring. He didn't sulk, go on tantrums. He just went out there and got it done. Kudos to him If Tmac was in a similar situation.....
I love Horry. But he has no business telling a guy who literally carried teams on his back, "you gotta work for these". Robert Horry was NEVER close to the player Mcgrady was. He never had defenses geared to stop him from scoring 50pts a game. Injuries are the only reason Mcgrady never had playoff success.
All show no go? Lol. It's funny how fans quickly forget how good a player they hate was. Tmac was a BEAST. Injuries clearly hurt him. But even in the playoffs his numbers were great. It's not like he didn't perform
Horry was never "The Man" on those title teams, but he played a key role in several of them. Just off the top of my head: 1995 Rockets - Assist to Mario Elie on the Kiss of Death in Game 7 vs Phoenix, Game-winning jumper in Game 1 vs San Antonio, 6 3-pointers in Game 6 vs San Antonio, Game-clinching 3-pointer in Game 3 vs Orlando 2002 Lakers - Game-winning(and series-saving) 3-pointer in Game 4 vs. Sacramento 2005 Spurs - Several key(and series-saving) plays in OT in Game 5 vs Detroit 2007 Spurs - Hip-checking Steve Nash into the scorer's table in Game 4 vs Phoenix(don't laugh, as this basically won the series for San Antonio) And that's to say nothing of his overall solid play in the 1994 Rockets title run, his unbelievable play in the 1995 Finals(he was getting Finals MVP talk in that series), and occasional clutch shots and key plays during that Lakers 3-peat.
I don't know, does Mac deserve the HOF? <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Rpr0pHOtNn4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Anyone who actually carried his team to the 2nd round? I'd imagine that's everyone else in the Top 50, something T-Mac never, ever did on any of his teams.
what's gifted mean? does it mean you only play 20 games in the playoffs as a top player on your team? or does it mean you play 140 playoff games win 2 championships , go to 3 nba finals ? I like the gift of championships and eternal glory
Basketball is a 5 men game, everyone should play his role best, Kobe is great, Horry is also great. Tmac is a gift player, but not a great player
WTH is a gift player. T-Mac was a great player, no doubt. He played great on both ends of the floor. If he was the 5th option on a team, you don't think he would have won a championship like Horry? Come on now...........
9 guys averaged more minutes a game for the hawks that year, which was t-mac's final year, but ok..............
