He was throwing all over the field, regularly throwing 20-40 yd passes - looked just like he was still at Baylor.
It's funny to look back at the beginning of this thread. Before his game against TCU, some dude with yao's number at the end of his moniker, believed the texans could draft him with a pick in the high 20s to eventually replace schaubie. What an idiot! Colts made a mistake in not taking him no.1 =)

The best throw of the night was called back because of a penalty. That pass in the first half to Santana Moss after running almost full speed was sick.
The most impressive thing about his debut is that he was the obvious "LEADER" of the team. He wasn't just a game manager, he got everyone where they needed to be, and led them to victory.
I saw a Yahoo article that said he couldn't have had a better start to his NFL career. After seeing the highlights etc, I agree, he did fantastic! Good for him!
you know when you think about it.. thats not a bad comparison, depending how their careers take off but Magic won the NCAA over Birds team, and RG3 won the Heisman over Luck... Bird went 1st in the draft, and Magic went 2nd

RGIII is definitely fun to watch. It will be interesting to see how he's doing a few more games down the road once defenses have some tape on him. Redskins fans actually have something to cheer, so they've gotta be feeling great.
What are they going to do. He is fast, has a good arm, and is smart. The only think I didn't like about him in college is sometimes he held on the ball too long going for the big play. Otherwise he pretty much doesn't have a weakness. I guess those ad people knew what they were doing. RG3 was everywhere and now he is living up to the hype.
The big and only question mark about RGIII coming out of college was his decision making. In college, he played in a system where he didn't have to make a lot of decisions. He had all the physical tools, but no one knew if he could make decisions at NFL speed. What we are discovering is that with all of his physical gifts, his character and decision making may be his biggest strength. Just listen to how his teammates and coaches talk about him only after a short period of time. RGIII is special and I think the Colts and Rams will soon regret playing it safe.
RG3 was great. But LOL @ people already dissing Andrew Luck. I guess sports fans DO live in the moment.
I'm not dissing Luck. I just never saw what made him "the best QB prospect since Elway". I think he's going to be good, but I don't see him being special like Elway, Brady, or even Brees.
For one, it's funny you bring up Brady and Brees, who had VERY VERY low expectations coming into the league. Hell, Brady was a nobody. So how do you know that those 2 would be special? Nobody knew. And secondly, but you're judging ALL of this after 1 game. You are aware Peyton Manning also threw 3 interceptions in his first game. What were you expectations of Peyton Manning than? If you saw the game Indy/Chi game, you see why he was drafted #1. Chicago is expected to be a top 5 defense, and he was able to put drives together against them after the first quarter, with a very poor O-line and young receiving corp outside of Wayne. Peppers got to him AT WILL, but Luck got better and more confident as the game wore on. This guy is going to be awesome by midseason. And his defense wasn't helping him at all giving up 41 points to a very mediocre offense. And he's the best prospect since Elway b/c he's in the same physical mold as an Elway/Manning, can make all the throws and reads, have called his own offense in college, and is a quick learner. So from that, you "extrapolate" what Luck can be. RG3 will be great too. But your assertion that Indy will be regretting this move is ludicrous and laughable.
