The second paragraph of yours is why I believe he is being malicious on purpose.

Someone like him would know full well about the very basics of anti-Semitism. He has to know what would happen if you imply anything about Jews and Covid especially a narrative where Jews are more "immune" to Covid.

It's too obvious what the outfall of that type of rhetoric would be. So I have to assume it's malicious.

It is still experience. It is crazy to get upset and call someone horrible because they don't like antidepressants and think there are better alternatives. If it works for that person then cool that is all they had to say. I only knocked the drugs based on "second hand experience" (like an alcoholic seeing a family member spiral right?), not the person, so responding like they did shows perhaps the drugs aren't really working

The thing is you are here trying to label him off one comment at a dinner that was during a conversation. How about all the other public things he has done and said for Israel. Why do you want to throw all that out based on one comment that was take out during an entire conversation? History wins here, not a mistake in wording when discussing a study.

what antivaxxx rhetoric? he says do what you want people have a choice. he also says produce more studies and publish them fully. people take that as antivaxx. it isn't like his positions on vaccines came out of thin air and no credible studies are cited. people need to remember America is not the only country out there that does medical studies. this is why for example the United Kingdom does not have varicella on the childhood vaccine schedule (for obvious reasons), but the US/FDA does, yet if I were to just say why the UK health board doesn't recommend it (and something RFK Jr has done), I'd be called antivaxx.

and yes, Asian and jewish people ARE less susceptible to COVID. you and @fchowd0311 want to call literal fact antisemitic. is saying Blacks are more susceptible to high blood pressure racist? is saying whites are more susceptible to skin cancer racist? or is it just literal fact? if you are actually referring to the whole biochemical weapon thing, then I already mentioned I think it was a misspeak during a conversation about various studies (done by orgs such as the NIH) that do say Blacks and Whites are more vulnerable to COVID.

Some of the biggest anti-Semites I know are pro Israel. It in facts fits with their world views. World "Jewry" dominance is the issue for them, not having Jews isolated to one nation state. In fact a large part of anti-semetisim is the belief that Jews can't be "American" or "German". They can only be a Jew.

Buddy there is no misspeak. His comments about bioengineering being very advanced and that Jews and Chinese people aren't as effected by Covid is a purposefully said I'm that manner to give his followers a in to jump to a conclusion that Covid was bioengineered by a cabal of Jews and Chinese people. That was quite clearly his intended purpose.

    There was no misspeak.

Again, it was one comment during a dinner when discussing an NIH study that said the same thing. why are you taking that over the decades of work he has done for israel and jewish people in general?

who are those antisemites you know that are pro israel but still antisemite? I don't know any. I've seen the opposite with people anti-israel due to palestine but don't care about the other stuff. remember when CNN was firing anchors for being in support of palestine?

    The GOP party basically?

What do you think they are referring to when they say stuff like cultural Marxism? I suggest you actually learn the history of terms like "cultural Bolshevikism"

You seem like a very gullible person rather than a hateful person.

Those big doors won't stop Americans being used as mules from bringing fentanyl across the border. Most of the drugs confiscated are by American citizens. Those big doors won't stop the drug crisis, or get these addicts treatment. The penalties need to be much stiffer to try and sway Americans from trafficking drugs. That being said, addiction is a terrible crisis in this country, and it won't get better without getting these people treatment who can't afford it.

Sorry I missed this earlier but it’s important to respond.
He’s pushed the same debunked studies regarding a link between Vaccines and autism. Just to note the UK debunked and dismissed Andrew Wakefield’s arguments that RFK has cited. It was precisely that false info that was pushed in the Somali community that led to the measles outbreak.
And again if those studies are citing evidence out of the PRC the PRC data is very unreliable. Also for other Asian countries like Taiwan they took many other measures to address COVID. being Asian though didn’t stop one of the first major COVID outbreaks in South Korea nor did it stop waves of COVID in HK and Singapore of the initial outbreak in Wuhan.

Also I know that Asians aren’t anymore immune because I got COVID. My symptoms were mild but was that because I was vaccinate or that I’m Asian? Considering I know many others who aren’t Asian also have similar experiences with COVID as Indid who were vaccinated. The only people I know who got severe COVID and unfortunately some who died weren’t vaccinated.

That’s my anecdotal experience but most studies seem to show that vaccine status and age has more of a factor in dealing with COVID than race.

Debunked by who? how did they debunk it? they just said tylenol can cause autism after decades of saying it doesn't. why can tylenol cause this but not vaccines created by the same people?

we aren't talking about measures taking place, but the genetic makeup/differences of races/ethnicity. Diseases and viruses don't affect us all the same, so not sure why you and @ROCKSS, @FranchiseBlade, and @NewRoxFan think that. it is very anti-science

Saying Asians are less vulnerable to getting COVID does not mean they are immune to COVID... no where did I say Asians are immune to covid, so not sure why you said that

btw the only people I know with bad health issues today were all vaccinated if you want to go that route. talking heart problems, new migraine issues, miscarriages, etc. but of course, these vaccines are immaculate, even though the CDC just said on Wednesday that this "new strain of covid" is going to affect those who were vaccinated more than those who were unvaccinated. If you want to take it, go ahead and do it. But mandating it is where the line got crossed and what people like RFK Jr is against.

Are you talking about when an entire family, including women, children, and the elderly, were assassinated during the russian revolution? who murdered that family? who took over? where did they come from?

Keep labeling all you want, I see it is what you're best at. If I had time, I'd go pull up the pandemic threads in the DD where you move the goalposts and were consistently wrong whereas folks like me were consistently right. so weird reading posts from people who have been so wrong the last few years but still want to act so correct.

Yeah the CDC is complete fallacy. thanks for confirming. I bet your pandemic posts were super on point

    "
In 1998, Andrew Wakefield and 12 of his colleagues[1] published a case series in the Lancet, which suggested that the measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine may predispose to behavioral regression and pervasive developmental disorder in children. Despite the small sample size (n=12), the uncontrolled design, and the speculative nature of the conclusions, the paper received wide publicity, and MMR vaccination rates began to drop because parents were concerned about the risk of autism after vaccination.[2]

Almost immediately afterward, epidemiological studies were conducted and published, refuting the posited link between MMR vaccination and autism.[3,4] The logic that the MMR vaccine may trigger autism was also questioned because a temporal link between the two is almost predestined: both events, by design (MMR vaccine) or definition (autism), occur in early childhood.

The next episode in the saga was a short retraction of the interpretation of the original data by 10 of the 12 co-authors of the paper. According to the retraction, “no causal link was established between MMR vaccine and autism as the data were insufficient”.[5] This was accompanied by an admission by the Lancet that Wakefield et al.[1] had failed to disclose financial interests (e.g., Wakefield had been funded by lawyers who had been engaged by parents in lawsuits against vaccine-producing companies). However, the Lancet exonerated Wakefield and his colleagues from charges of ethical violations and scientific misconduct.[6]

The Lancet completely retracted the Wakefield et al.[1] paper in February 2010, admitting that several elements in the paper were incorrect, contrary to the findings of the earlier investigation.[7] Wakefield et al.[1] were held guilty of ethical violations (they had conducted invasive investigations on the children without obtaining the necessary ethical clearances) and scientific misrepresentation (they reported that their sampling was consecutive when, in fact, it was selective). This retraction was published as a small, anonymous paragraph in the journal, on behalf of the editors.[8]

The final episode in the saga is the revelation that Wakefield et al.[1] were guilty of deliberate fraud (they picked and chose data that suited their case; they falsified facts).[9] The British Medical Journal has published a series of articles on the exposure of the fraud, which appears to have taken place for financial gain.[1013] It is a matter of concern that the exposé was a result of journalistic investigation, rather than academic vigilance followed by the institution of corrective measures. Readers may be interested to learn that the journalist on the Wakefield case, Brian Deer, had earlier reported on the false implication of thiomersal (in vaccines) in the etiology of autism.[14] However, Deer had not played an investigative role in that report.[14]

The systematic failures which permitted the Wakefield fraud were discussed by Opel et al.[15]"

Have you posted studies showing this? I'll admit to not reading every portion of this thread but if you have actual studies I would like to see them.

I said "aren't anymore immune" that would be the same as saying 'less vulnerable'.
The link you posted says this:
"Based on what CDC knows now, existing tests used to detect and medications used to treat COVID-19 appear to be effective with this variant. BA.2.86 may be more capable of causing infection in people who have previously had COVID-19 or who have received COVID-19 vaccines. Scientists are evaluating the effectiveness of the forthcoming, updated COVID-19 vaccine. CDC’s current assessment is that this updated vaccine will be effective at reducing severe disease and hospitalization. At this point, there is no evidence that this variant is causing more severe illness. That assessment may change as additional scientific data are developed. CDC will share more as we know more."
It doesn't say anything about that it will affect those vaccinated more than those unvaccinated. All it is saying is that natural or artificial immunity isn't as effective given genetic changes. It also states that virus mutate over tiem. which is why the aren't immaculate. Note even Fauci said this back when the first vaccines for COVID was released. It was just lost in the noise.

Whether people choose to or not RFK is propagating false and misleading information. There has never been an actual vaccine mandate has body autonomy does grant you the right. "mandates" were always tied to things like employment and going to school which aren't rights.

    Its a slow work day.

Even so as I stated earlier the continued propagation of these views is what led to things like measles outbreaks. Certainly RFK and others have the right to say these things. I have the right to counter them.

What is interesting about you posting this is the last paragraph when they try to mention financial gain was one of Wakefield's interests. What are the interests of these companies that want these huge vaccine schedules for kids? Public health right? lol! If it was truly about public health they wouldn't be pushing a lot of garbage onto kids like diabetes creating cereal, high sugar candies, corn syrup juices, and yes unneeded vaccines. Just like it came out about tylenol, when they actually do a real study on the link between vaccines and autism, it'll come out then too.

I'm sure people here will say this guy is a "quack" even though he worked for the CDC. what gain does he have for saying stuff like this?

or what about this study that shows an increase in autism among Black boys after taking MMR: https://www.jpands.org/vol23no4/hooker.pdf

Either way, you are wrong. There are several studies that show some races/ethnicity can catch COVID easier. do you really think everyone catches and fights off diseases the same? I don't understand why this is such a conspiracy to people when it was common knowledge before the pandemic with other diseases/viruses and even during the pandemic in regards to c19.

Really because you literally posted that they did when the CDC said "BA.2.86 may be more capable of causing infection in people who have previously had COVID-19 or who have received COVID-19 vaccines. Scientists are evaluating the effectiveness of the forthcoming, updated COVID-19 vaccine"

That quote right there says someone who IS NOT vaccinated and who HAS NOT caught covid will be less likely to get infected from this "new variant" but if you did catch covid or had a vaccination against it (and this is the one that matters most) then you are more vulnerable to infection. This is why they are creating a booster update! Hurray!

also didn't know people still defended fauci nowadays, but we have plenty of videos from several people, including the head of the CDC, saying you can't catch covid after taking the original vaccines. no amount of revisionist history will delete those video clips and quotes no matter how hard folks try

It is not a right to go to school yet truancy officers will come to your house if your kid is not in school. Sounds like very strong coercion at the very least and not actual choice of what to do with one's own body. If there was choice, then states like California wouldn't do away with personal belief exemptions.

a measles outbreak? when 50 people caught the measles due to a vaccinated person having a "vaccine leak". not exactly the black death here. besides, catching and recovering from measles is great for your immune system. just ask anyone who grew up from the 60s prior. they all caught it. anyone can have complications form anything, before someone tries saying "well measles can cause x", which even then measles complications was very low percentage wise. about 1% according to CDC data.

what is interesting about how measles is talked about today, as if it was a super deadly disease, is that the chicken pox is going through the same thing. the majority of millenials at least caught the chickenpox so know it is not the bubonic plague. they've been trying to meme the chicken pox into being known as super deadly similar to the measles, but the pandemic reset that as vaccine intake among school-aged kids keeps declining.
