The reason to stick Covington on Dort is so RoCo can play help defense on shooters/drivers.

Covington is Rockets best defensive player.

Other than Harden, it's not really that close.

Green, McLemore and Covington are the best above break 3 point shooters.

There are some that do not understand +/- so get ready to explain this "fake" stat.

Robert Covington used a 6-of-11 shooting night from the perimeter to score a playoff career-high 22 points on Saturday. He also led the club in steals with three and had a game-high plus-36 when he was on the court.

And his defense at the nail was instrumental in deterring OKC favorite mid range shots at or near FT line.

Pisses me off offensively sometimes. He can be so much better.

Not to mention, bbq chicken against smaller faster guards

Elite nail and help defender, super disruptive. Above average man defender.

    But he is +36.

He does not need to be a star.
