just tested mine. 2845/358 then unplugged/replugged as suggested now 4468/358.

This why I come to the Hangout section. I might not have restarted my modem for months...

I don't really notice a difference while surfing the internet or playing counter-strike... but whatever.

Are these stats any good? I tried to download partypoker program and it gave my computer all kinds of trouble. Did the modem test and also unplugged the power cord for Houston Roadrunner service.

Ok I didn't want to start a new thread for this, but maybe one of you guys can figure this out for me

I have a DSL line, rated at 512k on a wireless router

I finally got a wireless card and got a connection in my room and I've been downloading much faster than I should be... I downloaded the 500mb Doom 3 demo in an hour

Now, I thought I might be stealing someone elses bandwith so I manually configured my ip and subnet mask, checked to make sure my firewall was workin.... i'm stumped but I'm not looking the gift horse in the mouth too hard
