My school district ran paychecks today...we should be paid Friday, but we're getting paid today or tomorrow. Only good news to come out of this Hurricane.

It was 944 earlier today. For comparison, Katrina's lowest was 902, and the lowest ever recorded was 888.

I'm looking at the latest NOGAPS run and it seems like it has joined the rest of the party and is forecasting landfall between Corpus Christi and Houston.

    https://www.fnmoc.navy.mil/PUBLIC/

It takes some clicking to get around there, but click on NGP for North America and you can then show the latest loop etc.

Boy, y'all are going to look really silly when this thing takes its southern turn and aims towards Brownsville.

As for me? I'm going to sleep soundly Friday night. Then I'll wake up Saturday morning and catch my flight to Tennessee.

No worries, gents. I'll be surprised if this is more than a tropical storm come landfall. And it isn't going to land anywhere near here.

If you are flying out of Houston you better think again. We are moving our flight up from Thursday night to Thursday morning just to be safe.

highly unlikely you'll be flying out of houston on saturday...I'm no meteorologist or expert, but just look at the facts...

massive rain/heavy winds = no planes in the sky...

    pretty simple equation

I would recommend a 72 hour ban from the forum for this guy. Someone infecting fat and stupid into this forum at this time is not a good thing.

Does anyone live inside the loop/midtown/museum district area? If so are you evacuating?
