Did you really just call John Wall a Gilbert Arenas clone?

Not yet. Either way John Wall and Gilbert Arenas games are nothing alike at all. Gilbert Arenas was a scorer with a jumper that was respectable.

John Wall is a passing pg who can't shoot.

Or I could just post his shooting percentage

    38% from the field 0% from 3

Consider it an extreme, but essentially my point stands - the Wizards are trying to build around a Fools Gold PG. Asking your PG to double as your primary scorer is traditionally a bad, bad idea unless you've got a generational talent like Magic. Rose is another possible exception, but the Bulls' sudden stop in the postseason happened because of that double duty.

Gilbert was a better scorer, Wall's a better passer....but the Wizards are going to at best be marginal as long as they go this route with ~40% volume shooting PGs and no relevant bigs.

I think they need MAJOR changes... as in a hell of a lot more than their head coach.

Keep Wall, keep McGee, and try to build a hard-working, defensive team around them.
