RIP @Rockets2K. Very sad. He helped us foreign Rockets fans a lot, always kind. Ran the chat for years, made torrents of games available. Also helped moderate the site for a while.
Pretty sure he was one of the ones I met way back when there were CC.net basketball games that were organized. Good dude. Sorry to hear he is gone. RIP.
Holy sh^t I just happened to check in while my businesses server is down and see this.. Rockets2k is gone?! He did a lot keeping us fans who weren’t in Houston feeling involved with the team. His torrents in the first decade of this century were great for keeping up with the team and passing the time. I think I still have a few of them saved on a hard drive including the 2005 NLDS game 5 Astros Braves game. He was a one of the main people who made this place and am shocked and saddened to hear that he’s no longer with us.
Never met him...but know what his contribution to this site has been. Thoughts out to family, friends and cf.net brothers and sisters. RIP R2k
RIP Rockets2k. You gave out of towners a lifeline with those games. In the beforetimes, we only had newspaper clips and 10 second highlights from media corporations that hated the Rockets. It was one of those extra things that made CF special. Condolences to your family.
RIP Rockets2K. You made an outsized contribution to this place. I didn't know you IRL, but you impacted Rockets fandom in your own way -- that is really inspiring.
Good guy, may he RIP. I met him a couple of times when we rented a suite back in the early 2010s I think.
Damn that's really sad to hear, met him passing years ago. Way too young, my condolences to his family....
OMG NO! Rockets2k was a great guy, I am sorry to hear he is gone and at such a young age.. May he RIP - he will be missed. DD
Such sad news. He was genuine force for good and a great model in general for how to online. And such a glue for CF for many key years there. RIP to a real one. Damn though.
