I thought asphyxiation could happen many ways.

I had a bi-polar friend a few years before who committed suicide by inhaling helium and covering his head with a plastic bag (i.e. asphyxiation)

It's a true testament to how great of an actor he was when he could hold his own (or perform better) alongside greats like Robert DeNiro and Dustin Hoffman (Hook).

There's a group of people who help elderly suffering people commit suicide if they are in great pain. They help those older sick people by giving them a how to suicide kit.

The main tool is a party tank of helium.

 

Makes sense. CO2 is what makes you want to exhale so helium wouldn't give you the burning sensation.

damn... never imagined it would have been by hanging...

i always thought of hanging as an outdated suicide technique now with pills, guns etc.

 

i think it's certainly a possibility. was my thoughts last night too. didn't want to feel the wrath of the CF mob by suggesting it though.
