He was haunting in Wings of Desire, the Wim Wenders movie. The man could act; too bad he got Fonzied/typecast in one role. Though, given his passing, "Can [he] ask just one more question?"
I pulled up Murder by Death on Netflix last night to watch with my wife and 12 year old daughter. My daughter could not stop laughing. He will be missed.
