I saw that. More sad news and it was because of COVID-19. She was 82, which surprised me. How time flies.

    Rest in peace, Mary Ann.

Like I said... she deserved her own thread.

Mary Ann > Ginger > Bunny. R.I.P. Kansas girl.

    RIP

Some of my fathers friends went to truck or tractor show several years ago in the Dallas area. She was there signing autographs and taking pictures. They said she maybe 70 something years old but all they saw was the girl from the island.

From the pilot episode. There was no Mary Ann in the pilot, Ginger was a secretary played by somebody else, and I believe the Professor was a teacher played by somebody else. Weird thing about the pilot was that it was never aired until the 90's (?) from what I remember, so technically, the people that replaced those characters appeared on the show before the people they replaced. Sounds like a paradox. :D

I thought the reference to Bunny was for Barbara Stuart on the Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C. show.

I know I used to watch this show as a kid but as re-runs. There wasn't a lot on back in the 70s. And, those shitty TVs back in the day. How did we ever get through it? At least we played a lot outside. I'll be damned if I can recall a single episode of this show, though. I remember the characters at least. It's sad there is only one of them left alive. RIP Dawn Wells. Was she a Republican and/or anti-masker? I wonder how she got it? She probably got it from someone visiting.

Only ginger still alive now, Mary Ann looked so attractive when she was young, maybe it was just the eyelashes but her face was captivating back then

Filming the show on the island next to the Castle Bravo thermonuclear test was a bad idea in hindsight -- pretty much the entire cast and crew has died.
