Your mention of those roads - streets made me think of the Texas Instruments facility not far from there. I looked on the Internet and apparently the building has been closed and the employees moved elsewhere.
Then why the hell can't you go get a Luann Platter whenever you want? It's not like a Picadilly's or anything.
All burgers will cost you $12+ Don't complain, just deal with it Are there still James Coney Islands in Houston?
I think so, but the best one ever used to be in Stafford on 59 near Murphy Road. For some unknown reason, none of the other locations made their buns like this one. 20+ years ago, I used to take my son there nearly every Saturday after visiting a very small waterpark in Sugarland. Watching my son bite into those hot dogs made me finally try (and enjoy) mustard. Good times!
I think when Luby's closed there was a franchisee whom had like 20 of them, and he bought the rights to keep running his stores. DD
Teach....your children well... It's gone now, looks like most of them are, but there was a JCI around Shepherd/Richmond/Kirby/Wherever that my housemate loved to go to, so I'd say "sure, 2 dogs, chili cheese, onions and some fries" That was a great meal. It was a terrible meal, but it was a great meal.
HEB has some great all-beef dogs and their bakery has some solid buns. Whenever I make chilli I always freeze a little and whenever I get the hotdog jones I'll bust some out that week kraut-mustard dog x 2 chilli cheese dog x 2 ...and that's really all the dog I can handle for a few months These guys make the alleged "best hotdog in America", I keep getting tempted to order a box of stuff from them. https://www.olympiaprovisions.com/collections/sausage/products/frankfurter
Fuddruckers was where I'd take my dates to make out when I was a teenager because there was a table in a corner where no one could see you. In the middle east, you had to find a place that proved to the girl that you're cool but no parents would ever go to. The thrill of evading parents, staff and cops was so real hahaha. We thought we were so damn cool. "Where can we go??" "Ever heard of Fuddruckers baby?" *Giggles* "What's that?" "Let your mom drop you at the India Palace Restaurant, tell her you're meeting friends. Sneak out the back door, turn right and sneak into the 3rd door on your right. I'll be waiting at the corner table on your right. Thank me later." Can't believe how long ago that was!
