I haven't been there in ten years. My wife and I keep planning to go there but we still have not. We are addicted to Oriental Gormet however. BTW, Panchos did have good flautas, that's all I ever got there. But I have not been back since the early '90s!!! What is y'alls opinion for the best pizza in Clear Lake area? Is there any?
Dude; don't revisit what doesn't need revisiting. That event was between he and I, and not me and the board. If he feels like bringing it back up, I'm more than happy to discuss it with him. Both in private or over this board. You, however, have nothing to do with it, so back off. I'm still not sure what exactly he had a problem with, but I apologized, and tried to simply recuse myself from the festivities. I've also been to several other CFans social gatherings, and I've not had any complaints or problems with those. Let it go.
Maybe I should have added a smiley... But if you try to post something funny, you will have to live with people commenting on it if it is related to something that has been posted on the board in the past.
To an extent, yes. However, he simply ranted about my being there and "taking advantage". Still trying to figure that out, as no dances were done. Hell, I was just going up there to meet a regular on this site. In retrospect, I should've not gone in after my friend and I had been out all day, but we all need to live with our actions, and he deemed mine offensive. So be it. But I'm fairly confident that there are other posters here who would disagree with RocPaints assessment. I guess I'm still ticked for getting lambasted on something that I thought was nothing more than going out and meeting a fellow poster.
Angelos on Bay Area has some pretty good pizza. I really dig the lasagna at Enzos on NASA Road 1. Antonios in La Porte on Fairmont also has good pizza.
As far as hibachis are concerned...how does Ichibon in Kemah rate? We went to Taiko on Westheimer for Valentines and really enjoyed the food. Is Ichibon on the scale of a Taiko or Benihanas?
I love their sushi, but I've never had table cooking there. There's a great Thai place across the bridge on 2nd street in Kemah. It's not a place if you're in a hurry, but the food is awesome.
On a scale of 1 to 10, I give it a 15. The place is awesome. I have never done the Hibachi though. I just stick to the Sushi bar. Happy hour there rules, half of sushi etc.
You are nuts, Mely's is ok. Esteban's is a step down from Casa Ole. Do you ever go to La India Bonita there on the corner of Hwy 3 and 518? It is cheap as hell, it has mexican cokes in bottles and incredible free bean soup. I eat there monthly also. I refer to it as "The Taco Hut"
Is that the place advertising the breakfast tacos? I've always wanted to try that place but never have.
I am ALL OVER that. Every time I go there, I always stack up the Mongolian BBQ and my friends always get the same ole' sweet and sour pork. General Tso's Chicken, fried rice, ect...I'm always like, "Dude, you're missing out!" Bunch of non-adventurous bastids...The only problem is that they only have beef, chicken, shrimp, and scallops. They used to have pork, but they took it out for some reason. I don't eat the shrimp, though, because they don't de-vein them. My favorite combo is the beef with cabbage, green onions, soy sauce, garlic, and curry powder... Plus, it's actually HOT, compared to the luke warm fare at the buffet...
I never said it was a five star restaurant, and I have not seen any roaches. Yeah its a hole in the wall, but it is genuine. Some of us are not into mayonnaise.
Now that was a low blow. How long have you been in LC? That place has been there for over thirty years, with dozens of owners. Once a roach place, always a roach place.
He He. I have lived in Clear Lake (Camino South behind Kinkos) for my 33 years, except for the '90s, when I lived in East Texas. But now I'm back. My wife and I currently live in Camino South. They have really improved that little place. They remade it a few months ago becuase of the great business they do. It rocks!
