While his career included more than a hundred feature films, as well as television and theater work, he was probably most well known for his role as Kwai Chang Caine; perhaps the most famous white man ever to play an Asian man? Can't say I was a fan. The role was supposed to go to Bruce Lee, he came up with the idea for the show but the producers dissed him. It makes me wonder if the great one would still be alive today if that poser didn't steal his role. David Carradine didn't know anything about martial arts yet he still got the role. Its just another racist decision by hollywood.
the show was good. don't hate on Caine cause he took the job. I still can't remember if he was a white guy in Shoalin. When he has those flashbacks it was clearly a white kid.
I find it strange that he decided to kill himself at the age of 72...unless he has some poor medical history we don't know about. Maybe he just got tired of living and decided to hang it up (no pun intended)? Regardless, I loved this guy as an actor. I'm sad this is how he chose to end his life...assuming there is no foul play. RIP
It sounds fishy. He lived 72 years and decided to end it that way? I wonder if there was a suicide note. Loved him in Kill Bill: Vol. 2.
let it go dude. lee, caradine, and brandon are all gone they had brandon lee on the kung fu movie. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/T2HeaRex0Dg&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/T2HeaRex0Dg&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> are you mad fisher stevens played an indian guy? <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/z6VVELKyhOg&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/z6VVELKyhOg&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Of course it would have been better with Bruce Lee. That doesn't mean Carradine is a bad guy, or the show wasn't still good as it was.
kinda classless if you ask me, some dude dies, and a poster goes off on his show that made him famous.. a show that has been off the air for decades on top of that!
