I want to first thank everyone who has joined my wife and I in doing charity events all around the Houston area. I've decided do go at this alone with my wife. For those of you that know me can always reach me if you ever need anything. I also want to thank Clutch once again for allowing me to use his site for recutting members. I've made a lot of new friends in the last 8 months or so, and I will always cherish the times we spent together helping others.
I have other things going on in my life right now that takes precedence over any social group that I started on the Internet. I will still be posting...just not recruiting. This has nothing to do with the wonderful monitors that have to babysit 99% of you all on a daily basis. This is "My" doing and nobody else's. Sorry, that's all I want to say at this point and time.
I do not know any of the specifics but I understand where you are coming from. Maybe it's because I am getting older but I just don't have the time and patience for most online bull****. So much is just completely juvenile.
Such irony. The people who stay stuff like this are the ones who take it too seriously. Stuff said on internet message boards can only bother you as much as you let it.
Roc Paint, I'm sorry to hear this but I'm sure any of your future volunteer endeavors will be successful. Really enjoyed the events we had! Met some great people and helped some great charities. If you need some future volunteers give me a call!
Sorry to hear that. I was fascinated at the idea of recruiting members of clutchfans for charity. What a great idea. Sorry to see it have to go. There are good people on Clutch. Don't lose faith because of the trolls on here. Just block them and pretend they don't exist.
You know I will Mr. Clutch. You've been with me since day1, and truly appreciate everything you brought to the table. I consider you a friend of mine, and I don't have many of those.
So it has to do with a Moderator not liking your promotion of volunteerism? If so that's incredulous.
Sorry that I never had a chance to make it out. The dates always conflicted with already made plans. Never a big fan of vague protestations like this, but to each his own.
This has absolutely nothing to do with the Moderators that run the best sports forum in the world. Go Rockets!
Sorry to see you are stopping but good job on the projects that you did and the amount of people you got out. It's not that easy to get such a loosely organized and diverse group of people to get out and help with volunteer issues. Believe me I tried on a couple of projects with very mixed results. Sorry due to geography and timing I couldn't make it out to any of your events but hope you decide to try it again and if I'm in the Houston area then I will try to make it.
It was some work, but it was well worth the effort. We did do 8 very successful events that I will always be proud of and very much appreciate all of the members who put in the work.
Don't think so. Looks like it went very well: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=261321 The two before that went well also: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=260432 & http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=259459 Either way, good luck Roc Paint on the other things you have going on. I never went to one of these but it seemed like everyone who did go enjoyed it.
