That is how I am looking at this, I moderate a few wrestling boards and the amount of people who still want to celebrate his life and continue to say RIP even though all the evidence and statements are pointing to him doing it is amazing me. Yes the guy was brilliant in the ring but all of that goes out the window when you kill your wife and your 7 year old son which the media is reporting.
Without trying to go to D&D, if he did this, I don't think he will find peace in death, but I know his child and probably wife are probably at peace.
That's kinda dumb, but espn is also picking up the AP story. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/news/story?id=2916498 I think CNN might seeing it's based in Atlanta. When I got texted about this, I wanted to know if there was a cause of death. Then the next text message I got was his family died too. Murder suicide this cross my mind. I thought it may have been beef with Kevin Sullivan, cause they had issues.
1st my comments are only based on the reports.. If he really did shoot his wife and 7yr old son. That SOB should go to hell I don't give a damn if he was a wrestler but if he really did shoot his wife and his 7yr old son I hope he Rots in Hell!!!!!
regardless of what happened, benoit was an ace in the ring and you have to give him props for that. benoit from all accounts was always a professional and never played the political games, a dream worker... vince did the right thing with an in-ring tribute.
i'd say a good amount were on roids or using other drugs. Eddie Guerrero for instance...he had major problems in the past before he died
no gunshots..... probably not any signs of them being strangled either. i think the police would have noticed that......maybe poison?
if he did kill his with and son then all that stuff I said earlier I take back. For the sake of it I hope that he didn't do it.
If the reports are true, I say Rest In Hell. Roid rage sounds like a culprit if the accusations prove to be true. Yeah, wrestling fans, let's celebrate the death of an innocent 7 year old boy by the hand of his lunatic "father".
Maybe the death of the wife and son were a result of some kind of accident and Benoit blamed himself and ultimately killed himself (or just didn't want to live without them). I know, wishful thinking, right.... It's not my role to judge anyone in this, so I hope all involved RIP. Man, just a few years ago, a Benoit-Gurerro match was just about the best you could hope for, from a techinical standpoint. Tragic...
