RIP Cecil king of the jungle

Now to be fair, we don't know all the facts about those incidents either. What we need is more facts because without all the facts, the Internet cannot rage. This guy must be treated fairly because his monstrous behavior is obviously NOT a recurring theme because we don't have facts and also his money just brought this African country to second world status.

Sadly we have a lot of Americans like Texx. He would think it would be okay to kill a lion if it was legal. Some people have low morals. It's legal so it's okay. GTFO.

 

Yeah and most of the time those kills are legal. Lion hunting is actually legal in Zimbabwe IF they live on private land and IF the land owner has a lion hunt permit.

Neither were true in this case. The onus is on the hunter to verify these things and he didn't. This guy knew exactly what he was doing. Anyone who does 2 minutes of research could have figured out the rules in Zimbabwe. This guy just took advantage of a 3rd world country's rampant corruption to illegally kill a lion. It's as simple as that.

On a side note, why is it always some an American caught doing stuff like this?

It's a pretty easy test to me. Certain animals are okay to hunt and kill. Lions shouldn't be one of them.

Everyone is entitled to their own code of morals, yours is one of the strangest I have heard so I am curious.

 

If there is a purpose such as population control or your next meal... sure hunting is fine. However, when the species is under the 'THREATENED' conservation status, then HELL NO! It absolutely should be morally reprehensible to kill a threatened species.

I know everyone is outraged about this and I think it is pretty disgusting for many reasons, but let's get our moral outrage in check here.

I'm pretty sure almost everyone in this thread is a part of the mass breeding and killing of pigs which are widely regarded as one of the most intelligent animals on the planet.
