I'm probably younger than most of his Smokey and the Bandit fans, but I will always remember him for this movie:
Sad. Dude was begging Sally Fields to just hang out with him for the last two years. He seemed so desperate.
One of the icon's of my youth...he always seemed to be having a blast in every movie he was in and every interview he participated in. Another one of Hollywood's royalty passes on. Is there any left from the 50's-70's?
I remember very surly Burt when he was going through his divorce with Lonnie Anderson in the early 90's. I was always a HUGE fan of the guy and just happened to be watching this thinking he was going to for realz kick Mark Summer's ass.
RIP Loved the classics like Smokey and the Bandit, Longest Yard, Cannonball Run and Deliverance of course....but I always thought Stroker Ace and Hooper were highly underrated.
Just watched it a couple of weeks ago. Gotta go watch it and "The Longest Yard" and "Deliverance" and "Hooper" and both "Cannon Ball Runs" and...
Love this movie and the outtakes are possibly the best ever. Was pretty stoked he resurrected his career with Boogie Nights. Thought we would see a little more after that. RIP
RIP. Honestly was surprised he was still alive. Anyone who partied that hard during the 1970s had to be gone already.
