Damn...that was really tough to listen to, but I couldn't stop. I actually liked their show. Billy Mays always seemed to be the best at those infomercials. Wonder if Ron Popeil will be at the funeral?
I would be sad if that plane's mishap contributed to his death. I think there is a connection. He could have a blood clot in his head after hitting his head. Those things are scary... A friend showed me this earlier.. What a crazy month. Still two days left for June. RIP.
This is the only way I can cope with this sad news...making a remix of his best stuff <div> <object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,0,0" width="210" height="25" id="mp3playerdarksmallv3" align="middle"> <param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain" /> <param name="movie" value="http://www.podbean.com/podcast-audio-video-blog-player/mp3playerdarksmallv3.swf?audioPath=http://thegame.podbean.com/mf/play/2xbr9j/BILLYMAYSREMIX.mp3&autoStart=no" /> <param name="quality" value="high" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#ffffff" /><param name="wmode" value="transparent" /> <embed src="http://www.podbean.com/podcast-audio-video-blog-player/mp3playerdarksmallv3.swf?audioPath=http://thegame.podbean.com/mf/play/2xbr9j/BILLYMAYSREMIX.mp3&autoStart=no" quality="high" width="210" height="25" name="mp3playerdarksmallv3" align="middle" allowScriptAccess="sameDomain" wmode="transparent" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" /></embed> </object> <br /><a style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; font-weight: normal; padding-left: 41px; color: #2DA274; text-decoration: none; border-bottom: none;" href="http://www.podbean.com">Powered by Podbean.com</a> </div>
This was very nicely played. Nice humor without being distasteful. Repped. Edit: OOPS: You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Space Ghost again.
Here is the official list of the Disovery Channel Curse: Billy Mays (Pitchmean) Steve Irwin (Crocodile Hunter) Indian Larry (Biker Buildoff) Tim Roberts (Wingnuts) Michael Tata (American Casino) Gary Woodford (Southern Chopper) This doesn't count all the dudes on Deadliest Catch, which probably don't count anyway for obvious reasons. All died suddenly/unexpectedly. If I was Adam, Jamie or one of the Teutuels, I would be careful.
I watched "Pitchmen" last night and actually had to remind myself that Billy was dead. It was weird. Looking forward to the season (now series, I guess) finale.
I watched hours of that marathon last night as well and it was tough to realize that he's gone. Just an entertaining figure that people genuinely latched on to.
