There was an interesting post on the BBC about how this corresponds to people growing up without a true family. Some mentioned all the welfare benefits, that they receive that will never be enough, and that it will perpetuate forward. Others mentioned sterilization for people getting welfare.....just bizzare world we are living in these days. DD
They far outnumber the police and if you start shooting people more people might get involved. When the young and unemployed feel disenfranchised they are bound to cause a racket.
UK needs to send in the army or their equivalent of the National Guard. The riots are getting ridiculous and the police are outnumbered.

Do you mean to imply that these people are stupid because they're black? They're acting stupidly because they're poorly educated, mostly unemployed, and likely feeling angry, disenfranchised, and even bored. I don't condone what they're doing, but don't be a dumbass and chalk it up to race.
These riots have nothing to do with social injustice. It is a bunch of teenagers looting to break and steal stuff with no social agenda. Hopefully it'll get cleaned up before I head back to London in a few weeks. London is one of my favorite places to visit.
You can;t categorize this as just looters. Considering the social circumstances (tuition tripling, unemployment) there are obviously other factors that are causing riots. Its silly how people are trying to place these rioters motivation into a simple single box, its a little more complicated than that.
Shouldn't there be another royal wedding about now? The British must *love* paying for them to go on vacation for a living.
Entitlements have become a social agenda. "I want stuff" is the new rallying cry of Europe. We won't be far behind.
