Zone defense scares me because teams are already taking deep threes knowing Capella won't move up and contest strong. Capella seems far more focused on chasing and blocking (almost like he knows the help defender will never show up). In a zone style you don't really check a guy that tightly behind the three point line.

At this point, how bad can Corey Brewer be is the question I'm asking. At least Brewer gives this team length, and his inability to shoot is right there among the rest of the Rockets this year. I'm only half serious here, I just don't know what else this team can try?

Kyle Anderson a Former Spur, Really Elevated the Grizzlies defense and Win Total

    Johnathan Simmons, Terrence Ross Orlando
Justin Holiday, Denzel Valentine, Bobby Portis, Jabari Parker, Kris Dunn, Lauri Markanen Chicago Bulls
    Justin Jackson. Bjelica of Sacramento
    Kevin Knox

Kristaps Porzingis, Lauri Markanen would be Dream Acquisition for Mike DAntoni Offense

Hopefully Morey and his team is looking at charts like this to learn from previous teams mistakes.

Why waste away this season when you can start the tank immediately?

Even if we don't get the #1 pick, a top 5 pick wouldn't be horrible for a half year of rebuild.

If we waste this season by doing nothing and end up as a 10th seed, we start 1 year later on the rebuild.

Any of the Morris twins would be ideal for this team. James Johnson would be nice too

Morey is a supporter of tanking to rebuild. The problem was ownership. Not sure how Tillman feels about it but Les did not approve and forced Morey to stay competitive despite not having the personnel to compete for a title.

We already missed our perfect trade opportunity.

"But we can't include EG in a trade for Butler! He's too valuable!"

EG is a greyhound at times, and a Chihuahua at times.

Butler is a pit bull most of the time, which is exactly what we need.

Where's defensive guru Biglydick in all this? Rather than coming up with a better solution, it seems he's morphed into Milkhair and is just clapping and telling the guy to play harder.

Morey might as well resign if his big move is locking us into Kevin Love’s contract

"Teams finish 19.4 percent of their possessions using isolations against Houston—which is the highest frequency in a Synergy Sports database that goes back to the 2004-05 season"

    Ouch.

"Capela has defended 114 isolation possessions this season (or 4.6 per game)—a significant margin over the next closest bigs, Kevon Looney (73), Joel Embiid (58), and Steven Adams (52). Capela logged only 184 all of last season. "

    Ouch.

Rockets have mentioned that last season they switched a lot, but not exclusively, but this season they have switched even more, and it looks like it's been a very bad decision. The Rockets problem is their defensive issues are both personnel and strategic this season, it's not just a strategy issue, the personnel is also not adequate to be a top defense.
