Have never liked Shaq ever since he first hit the NBA, mainly because of stupid comments like this. He's always proven to be a selfish insecure guy who takes any chance to attack anyone yet he gets an insane amount of love from the media
If the Rockets don't make the Finals how cool would it be to watch Garnett wreck the Suns in the Finals and tell the media the comments by Shaq really motivated him?
Shaq, Riley, and Ricky Davis deserve each other... just like... Shaq, Kobe, and Phil Jackson deserved each other. Now, I am thinking before long, Shaq and Amare will blow up and show the true color of each other. Big egos always clash. All the above mentioned people have gigantic egos.
Shaq is such a peice of ****............. I want nash to get a ring............But **** shaq...........he sucks now.........go retire u big Gorilla b*stard
May be he was trying to be sarcastic to get Amare to play better defense? Look, Shaq IS a good caring guy and all that. The problem is he's the biggest baby in the history of the NBA. Even when no one slights him he feels slighted, and obliged to fire back at an imaginary nemesis. The whole Kobe lovefest now is probably the most shining example of Shaq being Shaq (he wanted to kill the guy for being a rat and now he's the greatest thing since sliced bread). The Big Cactus isn't a suitable nickname for a man who's so sensitive...Shaq needs to stop being such a big baby. His act is getting old, he needs to stop recycling the same tired statements about his former coaches and teammates. No one is buying any of that anymore...
It's hard for me to buy into what he's saying about Garnett because Shaq is a big KG guy, he's always singing his praises whenever anyone brings him up. Up 'til before now, KG and AI were seemingly the only two guys "off limits" for Shaq, they're buddies. All this leads me to believe that his comments about KG "not playing defense" is in jest, all the while Shaq gets to try and indulge Amare and keep him on his good side...but you KNOW that won't last for long. Amare has quite possibly the biggest ego in the league of outside of Kobe Bryant.
I really don't feel like seeing the Celtics in the Finals. I can just see it now, ESPN will have segments until next summer on how good Boston is and make us have to listen to how dominant they are over and over and over and over again like the Patriots. You thought heard enough about Boston? We'll see for real if somehow they win the finals. and if they do make it to the Finals.. I hope they pull the same move the Patriots did. Make it all the way with an absolutely sick record only to lose the most important one. Now THAT would be worth it a million times over. Let's all hope that Boston doesn't make it and that someone can take them out somehow. I don't think I will be able to take any more Boston sports news.
Seriously. Taking cheap shots at Chris Quinn? What a pathetic *******. Haha. He said the same thing about the Lakers right after he threw Penny Hardaway under the bus. Then went on to say the same thing about the Heat and Dwayne Wade right after he threw Kobe and the Lakers under the bus. He's just continuing the pattern. I'll be rooting against the Suns in the first round...I don't even care if they're matched up with the Jazz. There's some things about Shaq that make think he's good guy like the law enforcement stuff, went back to school and got his degree, the respect for Hakeem, etc. But when it comes down to it he's really just an ignorant fool.
