The Heat are looking for a starter. I don't think Head is the starter, they are counting on.

Aaaaah, you're right. Forgot about the 'vet' part of that when I came up with that idea.

They could just give New Jersey (always desperate for front court) Doleac for McInnis. I believe both are on the last year of their deals.

    I know, I know; it's McInnis. :D

Wow, now I'm picturing Starbury, Payton, and Walker on the same court. I think they'd drown out the PA with ease, to say nothing of the locker room gunshot as Dwayne Wade kills himself.

(trade was Head + Bonzi = Wright + Doleac)

Yes, but they would get Bonzi as a productive starting calibur player. Riley's one of those coaches that can handle huge egos. I included Head in the trade to give the Heat a young talented guard they can invest on(Bonzi's a rental afterall). They'll be getting the experience and the guard they wanted, just in two pieces.

I'm seeing stars right now, but I can't imagine how awesome this trade would be. I'm not really high on Head, mainly because of his size and D, and we won't really need his shooting when Vspan and Novak play. With Battier, Wright, Doleac, Ming, Hayes, Howard, Novak, we get a deep, deep and large front court that has athleticism, shooting and IQ. Mcgrady and Kirk can man the 2(HUGE 2 guards) and Rafer, Sura, and Span the 1. We'll also have a nice mix of vets and young talent.

The Heat need.....Rafer the Wafer, he is a "pass-first" PG, can shoot the three (or so many of you say), and we need Haslem. Deal? TMac becomes the PG, Wells becomes the SG, our PF problems are solved, Battier goes to SF, and the Rockets start abusing people. You know in your heart I am right.

That phone call would end quicker than a Grizzlies playoff series. There's no way the Heat would give up their only legit power forward (no, Walker is not a power forward) for another point guard that can't shoot.

I'm not sure there are enough drug dealers in Miami to get Riles high enough that he thinks Alston is their PG answer.

Yeah, but John Weisbrod is in the NHL now, and Isiah Thomas runs the Knicks. Sorry, but I'd say you're SOL. :D

As the "contract expert" on this board, we are counting on you to GitterDone. The Wafer for Haslem straight up and change.

O.K., O.K., I'll stop. Just a few minutes of harmless fun. Back to work, and reality.
