Lucas is a good assistant, but he also isn’t someone that will force himself or try to take over the team. So he will typically do his thing and go home. A progressive organization would have him work almost entirely on player development and mentorship and he wouldn’t even have to sit on the sidelines unless he wanted to. Instead they have him doing some of everything and I think he has somewhat checked out too because other than make suggestions I don’t think he has much control.
