[Ridiculous Upside] Rockets Summer League Roster Overview

Budinger will probably go to d-league, but I hope he makes the team.

 

What about Maarty?I haven't seen him in action since last summer league,btw,when does the summer league start?

 

If he's playing DLeague, it means he made the team...

 

I guess, but I actually meant he makes the team, as in he makes the Rockets not the d-league

 

I'm pretty sure Les invested those 6 million very wisely.. I really like the players Morey snatched on draft night.. hopefully we'll see more of Chase and Jermaine during the season

 

No - um.

If he makes the Rockets 15, then he has "made the team" and can play NBA at any time. Sure, the Rockets might assign him to the DLeague for a while - but he still "made the team" as in he made the 15 man squad.

If they don't want him (which I think) then most likely the guy gets assigned to a European club so that we don't lose his rights.

I really don't think Budinger makes the Rockets team this season (and so won't play DLeague in my opinion, because he'll be in Europe)

 

With the current free agent centers not being too appealing, anyone see either Marcus Cousin or Darryl Watkins play? Do they guys fit the athletic model Morey is building? How good are they on offense/defense? Either have a chance to make the team and be productive? As seen by all these questions, I haven't seen them play and if he's good would prefer DM paying him then signing a washed up vet for the minimum as we're in a retooling year.

 

Chase Budinger=Kyle Korver.........

 

Guys, don't forget about Brad Newley.
He had shown us fantastic game versus team USA in Beijing, and I heard that he had been great in europe league and many other NBA scouters had questioned about him to Morey.

 

He's better than any of the other players on the summer roster and no one even mentions him.

I'm hoping and praying that either Marcus Cousin or Darryl Dawkins become the next Marcus Camby, if either of them can defend, rebound, and block shots at the nba level that would be an incredible boost to our injured team.

um Budinger is 10000x better athlete the Korver... people on the board need to stop comparing him to white players because hes white...

Coming out of college Korver was pretty athletic as well did you see Korver in college? They're the same type of player heck even same body type. korvers had some injuries since then......I dont know how to break this to you but sometimes a white player plays like another white player..........gasp

 

I know how athletic Korver was when he came out of Creighton.. he is nowhere near the athlete Budinger is.. if you want to compare Budinger to a white guy compare him to Brent Barry in his prime...
