Anybody ever seen the movie Labrynth with Jennifer Connelly and David Bowie? There was a similar riddle in the movie with talking doors. One always told the truth and one always lied. She choose the wrong door.
This might work... You ask a man in front of a door "Is the liar in front of the door to freedom?" If the answer is no, you go in... and FREEDOM! If liar + freedom, then the answer is no if truth + freedom, then the answer is no if liar + hell, then the answer is yes if truth + hell, then the answer is yes
Yeah, u got it. For any of u who didn't read the answer in someone else's message, the answer is to ask this: "Does the truthtelling wiseman stand in front of the door to freedom?" If yes, u walk through that door; if no, go to the other door.
I don't see how that question indicates which door is the correct one. Dylan's question seems to work better.
Ok, here's how it works. There's a dude in front of the heaven door and one in front of the hell door. One always lies and one always tells the truth. You go up to one of the dudes standing in front on one of the doors (doesn't matter which) and ask him "Will the other guy say this door leads to heaven". You either asked the liar or the truthteller and it's either the door to heaven or the door to hell. Lt's see what happens with all four cases. Case 1: It's the liar standing in front of the door to hell. The liar knows the truthteller will say it does not lead to heaven so the liar says the the truthteller will say it DOES lead to heaven. Case 2: It's the liar standing in front of the door to heaven. The liar knows that the truthteller will say it does lead to heaven so the liar will say the truthteller will say it does not lead to heaven. Case 3: It's the truthteller in front of the door to hell. The truthteller knows the liar will say it does lead to heaven so the truthteller says "the other guy says it will lead to heaven". Case 4: It's the truthteller in front of the door to heaven. The truthteller knows the liar will say it does not lead to heaven so the truthteller says "the other guy says it will not lead to heaven". Do you see that in all four cases you are told exactly the wrong thing? The trick is that by involving both guys you are guarenteed to get exactly one lie: no more, no less. Thus you always go through the door that you are told DOESN'T go to heaven. Make more sense now?
no. Im messin with ya, Thiggs told me this one a couple of months ago and I laughed at how r****ded it was.
