I think "space" is the correct answer. If it didn't work in you MUD, then your screw-wed. ------------------ I have a dream.........his name's Hakeem. DREAMer's Rocket Page
Nope, space didn't work. I think I tried that one before I posted it here, actually. ------------------ My dream job is to be a Houston Rockets towel-boy.
Nope, fate didn't work. I think the key line is: "It is higher than the sky, but lower than the deepest sea" I'm gonna concentrate on that one for a while. It's definitely a toughie, to be sure. ------------------ My dream job is to be a Houston Rockets towel-boy.
Have you tried "pressure". Those PADI classes I took made me think of that from that last line..... ------------------ I have a dream.........his name's Hakeem. DREAMer's Rocket Page
Something I never mentioned before... Since the riddle was taken from a semi-mideival setting, the answer probably wouldn't be anything modern or futuristic (ie: a car, a spaceship, etc..). I'm still baffled, though. ------------------ My dream job is to be a Houston Rockets towel boy.
Fadeaway Even though it is part of the first line, have you considered that "time" may be the answer? ------------------
Yeah, pretty sure I tried 'time' and most of the obvious guesses. ------------------ My dream job is to be a Houston Rockets towel boy.
Tried life.. nope. Hmm.. darkness is a good idea; don't think I've tried that yet. ------------------ My dream job is to be a Houston Rockets towel boy.
I finally found out the answer to this, if anyone still cares. The solution is: infinity. I feel cheated.. ------------------ My dream job is to be a Houston Rockets towel boy.
I cry foul! I don't think infinity is either short or narrow. Thanks for the "answer" though. ------------------ "Thirty-seven?" -Randall, Clerks www.clutchtown.com
Sure it can... think of the word "infinitesimal". Also think of "negative infinity" in mathematics. I still say it's a stupid answer, though. Somebody help me out with the part about "Evil cannot touch it, Nor Good will its master be". How does that equate to "infinity"? ------------------ "I personally don't think Jordan would have enjoyed playing with himself." -- JeffB lets us all know that Popeye and Clutch aren't the only ones with inside sources... well, that really sucks. I thought that and dismissed it along with "nothing"/"nothingness", and I'm sure many others did too, but Evil cannot touch it Nor will Good its master be didn't make sense to me for infinity. neither did deep. They seemed like stretches.
Yeah, I think it's a pretty dumb answer too. I don't see how infinity can be "shorter than a breath of air" not to mention the Good and Evil thing.. ------------------ My dream job is to be a Houston Rockets towel boy.
The "shorter than a breath of air" goes back to something "infinitesimally short". And like I said, I still don't get that Good and Evil thing. Unless they're saying there is nothing that is infinitely (absolutely?) Evil nor infinitely (absolutely?) good. ------------------ "I personally don't think Jordan would have enjoyed playing with himself." -- JeffB lets us all know that Popeye and Clutch aren't the only ones with inside sources...
