For all of you people trashing this kid, two things: one, you obviously don't understand the concept of a SIX MILLION DOLLAR buyout the kid is on the hook for, and two, the idea that someone should be grateful for whatever they get and not try for something better is nothing more than a sheep's mentality. If you want to lap up every scrap and be grateful for it, that's your choice, but don't bash someone for trying to make their situation better. You may worship the NBA, but don't forget it's a business, and at the end of the day the real money goes into the pockets of the old white guys who own the teams. Does it really upset you when someone won't roll over for these old geezers?
Same could be said of Kobe Bryant. A guy who came straight out of high school and demanded to be traded to the Lakers. Got his wish.
I am not sure Rubio is quick enough ala Adam Morrison. You don't have to be lightning fast to be a great point guard - look at steve nash. But I think Rubio will struggle his first few years as he adopts to the speed of the NBA game. Also, the super fast point guards currently coming out might really make him a defensive liability. Hard to tell what will happen.
He's a snot-nosed brat and guys who try to force trades on draft day cause they don't like the team that drafted them will never have my respect. It's low class and its bad for the league. This thread is long enough so I won't post again. I suppose it's just a matter of opinion. I guess we'll all have to agree to disagree. I guess Blake Griffen is a sheep or not a good business man cause he's staying with the worst team and the worst owner in the history of the league. I'm sure he doesn't want out of there. I'm sure there's no place he'd rather be. You can tell who the class acts in this league are. Rubio is clearly not among them. btw: and if Kobe forced a trade on draft day (didn't realize he had) he's a b**** too.
