Wicky Wubio to pull a Esteban Francisco?

... and can the Rockets take advantage?

Kevin Love says Rubio's dad says he is staying in Spain.

And here's from the truehoop blog on ESPN. It sure seems like Minny is now in a position Memphis could have been in had they drafted the Spanish PG.

If Morey can get this guy without giving up too much I'd be very pleased.

I think we may need to bring a third team in though

doesn't matter since rubio is a garbage player who looks like he's gonna be a diva now, flynn will be much better.

if you don't believe me go look up all his stats, his fg% is miserable, he should have been a 2nd rounder.

John Elway, Steve Francis, Eli Manning.......

Nothing wrong with a player forcing a trade if they want to play elsewhere, it is their right.

WTF does that have to do with a player taking control of their career?

Honestly, what are you like 12?

Exactly. Rubio was one of the most talked about players at the Olympics and it was team USA that was doing the talking. He was only 17 and was handling his. J Kidd and D Will weren't even able to check this kid. Pretty impressive for a "slow bust".

he's already acting like a prima dona. when you're a lottery draft pick, you cannot control where you go. usually those are the WORST places to go b/c those teams SUCK. that's why they got lottery picks. taking control of your career is great, but do it once you make a name for yourself.

that applies to every job. your first job/position isn't always the most glamorous. the most mature players/people use that job to elevate their status and make a name for themselves.

you think blake griffin wants to go to the clippers? or anyone? but his maturity tells him this is his lifelong dream that has just been fulfilled. you don't throw away a chance to play against some of the best b/c you don't like a city.

Can I just say that I love Kevin Love. Perhaps it's the 4 years in Portland that have corrupted me, but for a goofy white dude with no hops this dude just loves basketball too much. already talking about how he's gonna be working on his sprints, jumpshots and outlet passes due to the draftees that the twolves just picked up. Plus he's smack talking Luis Scola being in the UPS commercial.... One workhorse respecting another enough to trash talk him. I like it.

I think Love is just repeating the same report in a Spanish paper that we all heard yesterday.

I mentioned in another thread that Rubio WON'T be at Minnesota's public introduction of the draftees today, sourced from a Timberwolves blog.

Either way all of them should have accepted where they were drafted. Just because they were college players does not make it more acceptable.

i agree completely. the clips are in the lottery every year, can u imagine if every damn player refuses to play for them? what's the point of the damn draft?

just ask the players, ok, where u wanna play then
