Not very classy to be picky when you haven't shown your stuff yet. This is how Yi Jin Lian acted when drafted by Minnesota, now he's playing for the Nets. Karma bites.

I have seen just a little bit of film on Rubio, but is he fast enough to play with NBA guards? He's awfully thin too.

People think that John Wall, Stephen Curry and Tyreke Evans are going to be good....

This is great news for Wolves fans though, he's at least confirmed that he will be coming over to the NBA next season. Loved the quote below.

I love how this article had absolutely no quotes. Here is what he said in the interview.

Yeah I didn't see anything that said he wasn't coming to the Timberwolves. He said he was open to moves, but that's far from demanding a trade.

But that's the point, Rubio isn't some random poster on the 'net who would be happy just to be a benchwarmer in the NBA no matter what team. He's a very promising player who's already earning lucrative money in his own country.

Let's say you're a banker in the US and as one of the most promising young, up-and-comers in the country you make around 100,000 a month. Deustche Bank in Iceland calls and wants you to live there because Iceland is like bank heaven. However they will only pay you 40,000$ a month for the first 3 years, but if you perform well you have the ability to make 10X your original salary.

Think you'd do that deal? Griffin is different from Rubio. Unlike Rubio he is born and raised in the US, all his friends and family are in here. Also unlike Rubio as the first draft pick he's making significantly more money, AND unlike Rubio he doesn't have any other options waiting from him.

Ricky Rubio not cumming until he hits puberty.

    He needs to grow up.

I pray to God when this kid comes to the NBA he'll be worse than Bryce Drew.

Maybe a few injuries here and there to shorten his NBA career. Maybe that will wake his arrogant self up. Hasn't he learned anything from Yi?

Why should he be humble? Should he be jumping for joy at the prospect of playing for a crappy team with crappy weather and a crappy GM for chump change? Its not like Minny showed 100% commitment to landing him, didn't they draft another PG right after they drafted him?

Suddenly drafting Flynn and Sessions doesn't look so stupid after all.

Wishing injuries upon someone is never cool dude.

In some respect, the NBA has a draft process for a reason and players should respect that. On the other hand, it's their lives, and when you have options, can't blame a guy for avoiding the choices that aren't going to make him happy. Yi? He didn't have the kinda options he thought he did.

The great players can play anywhere, because they make the team great (or at least good). The average players play wherever they can. It's the in between players that end up in these situations.

Didn't Kobe use the threat of playing in Italy to scare teams he doesn't want (for ex. the Nets) into not drafting him?

Danny Ferry did something similar... and actually went overseas.

Kobe, Ferry, Rubio, Yi, etc. are all well within their rights to do what they want. All these guys, and all the teams, are playing under the same set of rules.

Rubio is no more a douche for not wanting to play in Minny than he will be in a couple years for leaving Barcelona or than Daryl Morey is for not signing Von Wafer.

Lay the **** off Rubio already, you paid ANY attention to the whole Rubio fiasco last season you would know that if he came to play for the Wolves he would be playing for FREE. Why the hell would he do that when its clear that Minny isn't going anywhere any time soon?

Anyways here is a bit of an update.

Once again great news. I just love the speculation that Rubio doesn't want to play for Minny and never will, but every time Rubio actually speaks and it only points to him playing a Wolves jersey it is overlooked.

If you're a college star, your main goal is to get to the NBA, sure.

But once you're in the NBA, your main goal becomes to win a championship.

Sure, you're glad to be in the NBA, but there comes a time when being on a better team is obviously the end result, because you want to win that 'ship.

Griffin definitely won't win a championship with the Clippers anytime soon, unless they draft someone on par with James / Bryant's skill.

That is what every NBA star would say to the media.

In truth, a large portion of them just want to land on a big contract by playing for stats.
