For the people complaining about Rubio not wanting to go to Minnesota did you also complain and hate Steve Francis for not wanting to go to Vancouver?
Rubio is SOOO overrated. I bet Spanoulis could take him. We saw him play in Spain, and he DEFINITELY cannot play in the NBA. He might be able to ride the pine somewhere, but he's no star. Not even close.
Yep, both Rubio and Kahn are screwed but more Kahn. NY, maybe, but honestly they are in win now mode and with the thought of Williams or Paul going there, I don't see it happening. Miami, shut themselves out of these types of deals and Boston is set so he will probably need to re-think that east coast crap. Kahn, should have known better then try to hold the kid hostage. Guy is making good money in Europe and happy to stay there, Kahn is being stubborn and trying not to look like a fool for drafting someone that had no intentions of EVER going there.
Felton's scoring (shooting) has a big effect on whether the Knicks win or not. He's fallen off the tracks the last couple of weeks and they've lost 6 in-a-row. Rubio is an even worse shooter. At this point for him, "average at best" would be a big improvement. For a PnR combination to be lethal, both players involved need to be a scoring threat. Unless Rubio becomes a much better scorer, his high PnR with Amare won't be hard to stifle because teams would give him the jumper and force him to make the shot. I'm even more convinced that Rubio will NOT be an impact player in the NBA. With players like CP3, D-Will and Rondo on top, watching D-Rose & Russell Westbrook emerge this season and younger guys like John Wall, Stephen Curry and even Jru Holiday who have bright futures, who cares about Rubio? I can't remember the NBA ever being so loaded with great PGs.
He's gonna ball in the NBA. I'd trade our 2011 pick for him. Right now and even if we got top 6 in the lottery.
Well technically all those guys are 22yrs old, moving them out of the the 20/21yr old range BTW OP Its already been posted... http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=199571 Its the same article, only that they concentrated on the mentioning of "Miami, Boston and NY" part of it.. OMG that would be brilliant, its LA a big city with warm climate and big lights, the T-Wolves get their 2012 lottery pick back. Wow, just thinking of the combination of Rubio's amazing courtvision with the athleticism of Griffin and Jordan... damn, that sound's scary!
Sure. On any team except the LA Clippers. It's bad enough that they are going to waste half of Blake Griffin's career. I'd hate to see them do the same to Rubio.
Is he even that good? A rookie doesn't get to pick which team he plays for -- play for the team that drafted you.
He hasn't even scored one NBA point or registered one NBA assist, and he's already acting like a Diva.
I think Rubio is a slightly better shooter than people give him credit for and Felton is a little worse than most give him credit for. Most people were fooled into thinking he was better than he actually was because he started so hot in New York and most people hadn't watched him in Charlotte. He doesn't see the floor very well either and I think that's why his shooting slump recently really hurts because he doesn't see the 3rd and 4th options so if he isn't hitting his shot and the defense is able to cheat on the roll guy, then his effectiveness is extremely limited. That's why I think Rubio would be an upgrade because while his shooting might not be great, his passing skills are far superior to Felton's. Felton's not without his strengths(good teammate, decent rebounder and defender) but in a D'Antoni offense where the whole point is getting decent looks at the basket as quickly as possible, you need a PG who can see the whole floor. ..that being said, I'm totally with you on the "greatness" of Rubio in the league today. There are some monster PGs in the league right now - surely several very good players who might have been all star of even HOF careers if they played in a different era will be largely forgotten after the careers of guys like CP3, Williams, Rondo, Westbrook, etc. I'm really hoping those Curry rumors are true and Houston has a chance at him because he probably will be one of those guys too - a great player, but maybe not as good as the best and therefore an underrated but very effective PG.
That is immature crap. Who is to say he doesn't quit out on his team in the middle of the playoffs because he didn't get the face time he thinks he deserves. At the end of the day you have two choices: get paid millions of dollars to do what you love, or go him and sit on your ass. It's this type of player that is what's wrong about the NBA.
