You've got the wrong Rick. Rick Springfield is the guy that sings Superfreak. You might remember that song because it's the song that MC Lite sampled for his huge hit "You Can't Touch Me".
hehe. Actually you're waaaaay wrong. Rick Derringer is the one who sang Superfreak. The Song was a massive underground hit in 1978 and featured Motown icons "The Plantations" singing in the background. He later died after a massive crack pipe was found lodged in his esophagus. This happened not long after African American comedian Dave Barry had spoofed his flamboyant ways on his widely popular sketch comedy program "Barry's show". This produced to famous line "I'm Rick Derringer, b****!" which became a pop culture staple in the mid 1990's.
I don't know why you want others to agree with you. I'm sure if you polled the entire human population, plenty of things you enjoy will have unfavorable results as well, it's not going to change anything right? I don't find it funny most of the time either, but it's amazing given the right situation
I find it funny because I love the song... in 100% total seriousness i love this song and "Together Forever" ... have so for 20 years...
It won, but they are going to use the top six or so during a stretch of home games to see what gets the best crowd response. At least they'll play it once. BTW, I give credit to It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia for bringing it back, I think Family Guy probably got the idea to use it after they did.
Finally got the clip, totally forgot about the cool feature on Hulu that lets you cut a clip out from a show or movie to embed elsewhere. <object width="510" height="295"><param name="movie" value="http://www.hulu.com/embed/Gw-gk6heerJ4eh14DBtf3g"></param><param name="flashvars" value="st=656&et=674"></param><embed src="http://www.hulu.com/embed/Gw-gk6heerJ4eh14DBtf3g" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" flashvars="st=656&et=674" width="510" height="295"></embed></object>

mea culpa. My dumbazz was listening to some Bruce Springfield while lazily writing that post. By the way, i thought it was MC Ren that sampled it for her hit. MC Ren has got to be the best female rapper ever.
Despite your misgivings, Rick Astley forgives you. He is never gonna give you up. Never gonna let you down.
You get what he meant right? He was messing with me bout the fact I wrote the name of the wrong Rick, Springfield instead of Astley.
No, Rick James is the actor who was on NYPD Blue. When he was younger he went by Rickey James and was on that show Silver Spooned with Will Smith from The Fresh Prince of Beverley Hills 90210.
