No. I'm grown. Your statement made no sense.

    Pasadena 2-30
    Baytown Lee 5-17
    Sam Houston 5-18
    MacArthur 3-24

Looks like 5A have teams like Lee too.

Ok, let me spell this out.
    a) You play in district games against teams in your district. This is fixed.
    b) You also have out-of-district/ pre-season games you can schedule against other teams even teams in other classes.

In Yate's case, their district is weak. If they want the better competition, move to 5A so they can have a tougher in-district schedule. Then, they can also schedule out of district games against the best opponents they can find.

It really does not matter to me if they beat them all or lose all. If you can, you should play the best opponents you can find. It helps your development more than playing the likes of Lee.

that's because you are being dense about the comparison

weight division = enrollment numbers of HS

that was my comparison and thats it, no height crap or other physical stuff that you are trying to match up

the point is: 5A do not have better teams 4A necessarily, which you are trying to prove otherwise, for whatever reason

which coincides to my example of heavyweight boxing champion does not mean better fighter than boxers in lower weight class

Trust me, you are not grown.

Noone said all of 5A are better than all of 4A.
In general though, 5A schools are better than 4A simply because of the fact that they can pull from higher population of athletes.

If you play against 15 teams in 5A, on average, your competition should be tougher than the 15 schools in 4A you play.

    Dense?
You equate weight with enrollment numbers and you dismiss the comparision between weight and height?

    Talking about being dense.

Yet you never explained why they would schedule two out of state tourneys with other nationally ranked teams if they're afraid of competition.

And no. I don't trust you.

Why do I have to explain it?
It's great that Yates play some other nationally ranked teams. Let them find more good teams to play against. Don't play Lee or teams that they can beat by 50 pts easily. It does not prove anything nor does it help them one bit.

umm that's because you twisted the comparison around into whatever you felt like. Now you've dodged the point of heavyweight champion not necessarily being a better fighter than someone from the lower weight class again. I guess you won't address that in correlation to your 5A > 4A argument.

If you'd read UIL's rules, you'd have already known it.
UIL's 1st consideration is enrollments, 2nd is distance.

Having said that, what is so great about playing a school 100 yards down the street that you can beat by 50 pts plus easily? It couldn't be much of a rivalry. How difficult is it to take a bus ride to Fort Bend?

Yeah that's right, Yates needs to put themselves into 5A District 15 along with the rest of the Cypress high schools. Otherwise, they're dodging those mighty northwest powerhouses.

That's why the Cavs should petition to move into the Southwest Division, way better competition, otherwise they are dodging us.

And the thought never occurred to you that winning and losing seasons goes through cycles but the natural rivalries between high schools will always be there?

For the same reason that it would be great for the Texans and Cowboys to be in the same division.

Maybe those Fort Bend schools should just schedule Yates out of district. How difficult is it to take a bus ride to Third Ward?

    are you serious???
UIL sets who is in 4A and 5A
Yates played state and nationally ranked teams over the last 2 years. Do you seriously, really, and truly believe that they would be scared to play ANYONE in this STATE.

We have already explained why Yates isn't 5A. If they switched then they would lose their set games against traditional rivals, like Washington, and those games matter to the schools and related communities. Teams have up and down periods, so it makes no sense to go hopping year in and year out. Additionally, it makes no sense to claim Yates is scared of any local school when they made an attempt to play in 2 out of state tourneys. How many other TX teams did this? Texas is not the mecca for basketball.

I asked you directly how do you know these other schools aren't dodging Yates by not scheduling them in a non division game? You have yet to respond to that. It's silly to say Yates is dodging folks when they are traveling out of TX to play better teams.
