Perry trolling Maryland <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/KhLHz5urY-g" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Ultimately in our best interests (as Texans), I'm not entirely sure how draft a convincing and effective plea for migration without contrasting your strengths with their weaknesses, and no income tax is pretty much the most obvious (of many).
Democrats in this state should move more toward the Libertarians and focus on civil liberties in the state. They can run on education and civil liberties, and leave the economy alone. Its not a winning issue for them. I could see them winning if they take a more common sense, "liberal southern democrat" approach. They're not going to win on being the same Democrats that are in Washington.
California and NY are already permanently Democrat, and Florida and Texas soon will be. The future of Texas, along with the rest of America, is liberal.
The reason Perry would retire is because he already got all of his friends the powerful positions and money they wanted. He doesn't have anymore left.
No they havent. 30 years ago was 1983. In 1983, Republicans were still winning California consistently (California voted Republican for 30 straight years until Clinton won it in 1992) In Florida and Texas, the Democrats were losing their grip on state politics on both states. (Florida happened faster than Texas) It just so happened that Florida never quite became a Republican stronghold on the presidential level like it is on the state level. 30 years ago was the opposite trend. California was still solidly red at the Presidential level while Florida and Texas were becoming more and more red. Remember Texas was a swing state in 1992 (Bush won it by only 3 points) Karl Rove was 100% right in focusing on dismantling Democratic control of state legislatures in the South. What he didn't forsee were the high levels of Hispanic immigration to the South that would start to reverse those gains. I dont think Texas (or even Florida) will turn "Blue" very quickly but it will happen based on current trends and the Republicans policy positions. But hey keep putting your head in the sand. No sense in acknowledging reality
cool that these guys were willing to debate each other, I guess they both see it as a chance for 2016 practice <script height="360px" width="640px" src="http://player.ooyala.com/iframe.js#pbid=b171980b65ae4996bffea4da902c7846&ec=phaDZwZTooc94CENoAOYmtoFKfPB58H6"></script>
And Texas is doing soooo poorly under his leadership. Oh, that's right we can't have as many abortions now...God damn it, wtf?!
