Hey you are the one so quick and proud to say you vote a straight ticket. You side step the point of my post... Then your lame attempt at an insult is to suggest I move to KC or SF? Are you a bigot or a homophobe also? I'm not sure what you are suggesting. Here let me spell it out for you... In my opinion people who are too lazy to vote for canidates based on qualifications, beliefs and experience are nothing more than sheep. Follow the herd, let them think for you, so you don't have to. Are you too lazy to use your brain to figure out who would be the best canidate for each position you are voting on, so you just take the easy way out? Me? I'm always so un-impressed with both Dems and Republicans as a whole I'd be ashamed if I didn't take the time to research which canidates I believe really deserve my vote. I damn sure wouldn't stand up and be proud of the fact I voted for nothing but black/white/liberal/conservitive/women canidates regardless of who was most qualified and really deserved my vote.
How do you know that Baqui didn't research all the candidates and decided that he wanted to vote Democrat on all of them?
Me too. First time ever, and I'm 41. Republicans are ruining this country by eliminating the middle class, and they must be stopped.
I know a lot of people vote the straight ticket and out of those that I'm close enough to in my daily life to discuss politics on a personal level I know 3, 2 Brainwashed conservatives and 1 Bleeding Heart Liberal (my wife). I've called them all sheep in previous political discussions and challenged them to all explore the candidates themselves and look past the political party. Examine the person, their qualifications, and experience and then cast your vote wisely. Don't just vote for all the XXXXX people because you think they see things the same as you. They might not be the best person for the job. I'm sorry if I've offended any sheep, liberals or conservatives with my last couple posts. Think before you vote, it is important.
A tape recording for one of the gov. candidates here in Illinois (not saying which one) called a friend of mine's house at around 9:00 pm at night, two Mondays ago. Or, right in the middle of a Bears/Packers game. Nice move.
Why don't you just let us get on down the road. Why don't you just let us get on down the road. Why don't you just let us get on down the road. Darn that commercial and the number of times they play it. That phrase will be in my head for a while.
I've voted 4 times in my life...every election (national) since 1994, the first year I could vote. I've voted straight ticket twice. I find it offensive that you think I'm a sheep because I voted straight ticket.
Actually, I'm not. I just don't like people to say I'm a sheep for voting what I believe. Doing just fine, thanks.
Good, glad to hear it. You understand it's nothing personal, I would just challenge people to try and think for themselves as opposed to following the herd. If you are, and you think voting a straight party ticket casts a vote for the most qualified canidate in each race, vote away. Peace.
