Here's a list of coaches I would take to replace JVG:

    Phil Jackson
    Greg Popovich

i'd take Carlisle as an assistant coach though, him or Fratello would be decent.

I wish there were a zero stars option for this.

2 games up in the playoffs after a great season despite injuries and we have threads like this...

Rick Carlisle is almost definitely better than JVG... But it's not something we should bother thinking about if we have a successful playoff run.

Carlisle would be a much worse handicap on offense than Jeff Van Gundy. Remember, the offense didn't flow because of Jeff, it flows because Jeff lets Tmac runs it. When Tmac first got here, he complained at the way Jeff runs the offense. Same thing with the Pacers, Carlisle handicapped the way the players plays the offense.

T-mac never complained... Jeff complained that T-mac was being too passive, and unsure of himself, and just told him to "play his game."

While were throwing names around my vote goes for Tim Floyd.

I cannot believe we are talking about a new Head Coach.

Rick's style is way slow, it's slower then the way we play. The pace we play is the slowest I can watch a basketball game.

Voting just to give it another 1-star.

Sadly, I knew this would be up as soon as I saw the news.

I may be bumping the thread, but consider it bumping the shame.

I've got a simple suggestion. That is, simply, while the Rockets are making a playoff push and are still alive, can we refrain from starting any threads about replacing the coach and trading players on the current roster. We could go all the way and I'm sure we are all hoping for that. And if we do, is it realistic to expect that we are going to replace the coach?

I think it should be a simple rule that if we are in the playoffs, we do not have any threads about changing coaches or players. There will be more than plenty of time for that stuff in a few weeks.

You know what the sad thing is? Richard Justice caused all this chaos from one stinking article. What the hell was he thinking? It's a distraction on ClutchFans... but who really cares? This article better not become a distraction with the rest of the media. None of those reporters better even THINK about asking JVG, players, Les, CD, or Daryl about JVG's future at this point in time.

I guess all of the protagonists who participated the the 30 page long "Fire Gundy" threads are in hiding? :)

R.C. is pretty good coach , got a good again and he made Indiana better and even the best team EC with all that being said.

I would pass on him. Stay with JVG.
