I guess JVG is looking for a veteran backup PG since we already have three active shooting guards. Derrick Zimmerman may be a good point guard but he can't shoot, he's 0-14 behind the arc at the d-league.

I don't think Rick Brunson is as bad as people here thought, at least he's a true point guard with a decent jumpshot...

    Career Ast/TO: 2.50
    Career 3-pt%: .360

No, it's not as simple as that. Teams wouldn't be interested in trading for him if they knew he had no value. He wasn't a good fit for Houston, that's why he was traded. Despite his injuries, he's still a relatively young, all-around talent who can score and do plenty of good things on the court. He made barely anything, it's not like we were in dire need to rid ourselves of his $1.5 M contract when we know he's perfectley capable of still helping us.

His departure from the Rockets is very similar to that of JB's. When it became clear both were not a good fit, JVG made it clear of the team's intentions to part with them. JB got cut because he's on his last legs with little-to-no value. While, DA got traded for Fitch in an effort to have something to show for trading him away.

Just so to be clear, who made him of no value at the first place?

I still wanted Tim Thomas, if he is good enough to play for the Suns he is damn sure good enough to play for the Rox. Brunson will do ok, he's an upgrade over Luther Head and Fitch but he is only another well traveled vet that may or may not be here next year.

    blah blah blah.

here's my advice to rockets. rename your team to Knicks. and hire Isiah as ur gm. that way you have gundy requesting more ex knicks and isiah making it happen.

who the hell is scouting for us anyway?

List of people to fire this season

    JVG
    Dennis Lindsay
    Carrol Dawson

List of people that needs to care enuf to fire the above: Les

    ok i am done.

Who the hell needs a veteran backup with this team going nowhere fast?

Bring in some young guys, see if they can play, bring back Stephen Graham, let's find out if we have any pieces to our future puzzle.

    Rather than old pieces of.......

that's gonna be hard because Stephen Graham signed with the Cavs a while back.

I did not mean him directly but the point is to get younger, and try some guys out.

Brunson is an old, never was....

i dont know if brunson is the right backup pg for us but thats what we needed the most...i dont think we need anymore sg or sf....wesley, head, and bogans are not bad shooters theyre just not makin their shots right now

No, I would sign someone to take a look, and I would love to see Ezra Williams getting a look his shot is so pure it is a thing of beauty. He has a shot like Ray Allen.

Our PG does not have to shoot 3 pointers...they can move INSIDE the line and shoot too.

Hasn't there been a lot of talk about how smart this guy's bball IQ is and how one day he will be an NBA coach? Any chance CD secretly wants him to be a Rockets coach one day? The new Avery Johson perhaps. Just speculation.

Like ppl already said on here, Brunson played pretty decent at times for the Clipse. But I still think Mike James was a steal. I miss that guy!

Brunson played pretty well last year for the clips. ONe part of the season he was starting and I noticed he had a good stretch. Enough to pick him up for fantasy so he's not a complete lost.

Major thing is he is solid and he won't lose you the ballgame while he's out there. People have said it before that when Alston goes out the flow of the offense is pretty bad. Playing Alston huge minutes hurts him as well cuz he's not fresh and is probably bound to make silly mistakes.

It's not a huge signing but it doesn't hurt to try him out at this point in the season.

you know, i dogged mike james about being a selfish player but thats exactly what we needed in the fourth qtr against the sixers. mac sure as hell wasnt stepping up. he needs to withdraw about a million dollars from his bank and roll around in it to cheer him up and get him out of his funk. there. i feel better now.
