For the last 5 seasons his 3 point shooting percentage is impressive though. Last year's 5.1/1.56 A/TO ratio is also very good. He fits Rockets well if he can play some D.
This isn't that bad of a signing. He played pretty well for the Clipps last year if I remember correctly.
Well it should be interesting to see him and Ryan in the lineup at the sametime. I guess we would be playing 3 on 5. Can't wait to see that.
This move has Luther Head moving permanently to the 2 so he wouldn't have to handle the ball and lose it so much. Question: How long did we sign him for? I hope its two years. Because JVG might fall in love with him and use half of the MLE and extend him.
I would highly doubt that he would have both on the floor at the same time. If he does what he did in LA last year he will definitly be worth the pick up. He's smart and doesn't make too many mistakes and plays defense. All the things that JVG wants. He is going to look to pass first and get the team involved and he knows how to run the fast break. With Luther moving over to 2 permanatly with this aquisition it will be a fast running team. As long as the team moves around while he has the ball he will find the open man. Of course he is a liability with his shot but if he penetrates and creates shots for other players he will definitly be worth the backup point guard spot. Once again from seeing him play in LA he definitly put up good assist numbers 5.1 in only 25 minutes a game.
This ex-Knick thing is way overblown, I mean 75% of the NBA used to play for the Knicks, so chances are every new player you add will be an ex-Knick.
Exactly, he was good or made to look a lot better when he played with Ray Allen. He got a lot more open looks and would hit them. He is not worth anything right now but in the Suns system he might work out since all he has to do is stand out on the three point line and let Nash do some work and nail the 3 ball. that's if he even gets into the game.
Im sure there a lot of people out there in the league that are Ex-Rockets and those teams fans are saying the same thing.
1st Unit: PG: Alston SG: Wesley SF: McGrady PF: Howard C: Ming 2nd Unit: PG: Brunson SG: Head SF: Bogans PF: Hayes or Stro C: Mutombo I really like.
The second team really looks like a change of pace for me. It's a team that will run a bit more than the first team and probably create some nice baskets on the fast break.
He appears to be somewhat turnover prone, from his numbers. I prefer we just give Gerald Fitch the minutes to show what he can do.
Gerald Fitch is a shooting guard in a point guard body, I've seen him play. Won't help us much. We needed a true back-up point guard and the answer is Brunson.
