Much respect to both but come on a guy who has 9 rings is no way better than our coach. I hope this wasn't made because you got caught up in the moment of victory. What victory though. we didn't win anything!!!!!! yet
What? Haven't you guys gotten the memo floating around the forums? "Rick Adelman's offense" does not work with Yao Mind, so he should obviously be let go. Gosh, where have y'all been? (I love mocking the people that think we should get rid of Adelman) Anyway, to reply to this: Why do you think Landry played well? Why do you think the offensive clicked when Landry was in? It was because of adjustments they made during practice after Chuck got into foul trouble in Game 5. Adjustments made for when Landry is in, not Chuck. Adjustments made for when Landry is in, not Scola. It wasn't just because Landry was the "hot" hand at the moment, it was because of Adelman's game plan for that combination of players. Give credit where credit is due. It seems that you don't quite understand everything a coach does. Yes, he had to put Landry in, but they had a game plan for that scenario since it occurred in Game 5 as well. And that game plan was beautiful.
Rick Adelman is a better coach if we win game 7 not until then. 9 rings to none, you can't be serious comparing the two coaches.
Absolutely serious. Phil has Michael and Scottie in their prime for the first 3, adds Rodman for the second 3, and has Shaq and Kobe in their prime for the last 3. Meanwhile, the only team Adelman's had with a true superstar (Trail Blazers), he takes them to 2 Finals, he leads the Kings deep into the playoffs, one of which many feel they should have won, he leads the Rockets sans Yao to a 22-game winning streak, and is now on the verge of the WCF with a team minus both superstars. It is not a stretch at all to say that Adelman is right up there with Jackson, as well as Larry Brown, Jerry Sloan, and Pop.
Reminds me of when me and my friend play golf, I out drive him by 30 yards, hit my irons farther, my swing is better and I swear I am a better player but he beats me most times. Unless Adelman wins at least one ring, his resume will be incomplete next to PJ, he's a good coach for sure but those 9 rings make make PJ an NBA legend.

Absof**kinlutely. And Adelman has the results to at least compare with Phil Jackson. Never said he was better, but it's a fair comparison. And, BTW, there are excuses and circumstances. Do you think if Yao and Tracy were both injured, and the Rockets didn't make the postseason, that Adelman should be fired? Of course not. Why? Because he had a legitimate EXCUSE. Phil has the right to his 9 rings, but let's not act we can't acknowledge the hands he was dealt. And, isn't it funny that Jackson turned down an opportunity to coach the Nets? But, like you said, all people will remember is the rings.
if mike brown goes onto to win 4 or 5 rings with lebron, will he to be considered great. Imo anyone could of coached the bulls and one as many rings with Jordon. I think phil has had more luck if anything. Adelman is a better coach.
Phil jackson is an overrated coach. He was fortunate to have players like MJ and Scottie Pippen / Shaq/ Kobe on his team to win those championship rings not him. He cant coach a lick compare to RA
the opposite of Phil Jackson is Larry Brown. Brown always takes over a really bad situation and turns it around. Look at the teams he took to the playoffs Clippers Pacers Pistons Sixers and he actually took the Knicks job knowing Isiah was a horrible GM. Brown is now coaching the Bobcats. and Larry Brown beat Phil with his 'Shaq/Kobe' dynasty team. I remember Tmac's best friend, Stephen A Smith yapping that the Lakers would sweep the Pistons. Nope.
