Which means that there is no or little differentiation in talent, so why change things?

I am just not sure what makes Terrence way better than others. Who knows how good he is more than coaches? He looks so good to us because we see him for 6 minutes and he tries his best in 6 minutes he gets. I am sure once he gets 30 minutes game...We are going to have a thread "Trade T-Will NOW!"[/QUOTE]

    Agreed^^^

How much better he is than Bud and Lee? I don't see him as "definitely better" than others as of now.

I agree with those who say this is a non-issue. We're waiting for a SF and/or a SG to be traded so Williams can get playing time. Not too difficult to see that. I also agree that Budinger stepped up his playing time and that made it difficult to have Williams take his place. IMHO one of Bud, Batty, Lee will be traded. I think Batty stays as the starter and Williams is a backup SG or SF this year.

I don't believe any of this talk that Rick and Morey are having problems. That seems like anxious fans trying to overthink the situation.

Believe or not this is an easy decision. If most of the "superstars" are locked up in long-term deals with other teams and the rest don't want to come here, then YOU HAVE TO GO YOUNG! Let all your aging "defensive specialists" go, trade your unsung folk heroes, trade all your thirtysomethings and go young. Stop blowing smoke up the fans A$$! Announce you're rebuilding and try to get a star via the draft or with cap room. Being in the middle dooms you to mediocrity & pisses off knowledgeable fans who know what the hell they are looking at. All this "BE PATIENT CRAP" is just echoing the company line to keep fans watching & coming to the games. I'M TIRED OF HEARING ABOUT HEART, I'M TIRED OF HEARING WE'RE CLOSE, AND I'M TIRED OF MEDICROITY. If Morey can't trade for a star & can't make the call to go young then maybe he isn't the guy for the job. Those are the facts my friend!

Morey had to trade for him then or else another team would have jumped at the opportunity to get him for a protected 1st round pick. (Cavaliers somebody? They're desperate for a potential star!)

None of us would be having this conversation.

Better to have him than to not have him.

I agree! Impatient and restless are the words to describe how i feel. I've been thinking maybe Monta Ellis could he lured out of san fran? He has a larger chance at success in Houston as opposed to the GSW making the playoffs and getting past the first round.

He is not only an efficient scorer but he's a consistent scorer and will fill it up in bunches. On defense he's a beast and what makes him sexy he can play the 1, 2 and if needed the 3. Watching Monta hit the 40's against us was enough to sign, seal and deliver my ongoing desire to trade for monta.

There was speculation that GS would take on Yao's expiring contract (17$m) but that was shot down as soon as it become public. Who is to say that GS would not be turned on by the potential packages we can offer? Patrick Patterson, Jordan Hill, Courtney Lee (A poor man's Monta), Budinger, Battier, Jeffries oh and yes that's right Yao Ming.

    ideas, ideas, ideas...

    Thanks for the info, Clutch.

I think most [sensible] posters suspected it was merely an issue of us being too deep and simply not having the minutes for T-Will. I know in typical Monday Morning Quarterback style he's going to remain popular among all the haters and pessimists. Those guys should get their wish soon once Battier's contract expires or gets dealt since he's pretty much the guy that seemingly stands in the way of T-Will getting a crack at the rotation.

I want Williams to play just as bad as most...

But some of y'all need to realize..:: these same players y'all want traded that are ahead of Williams in the rotation, need to play to be traded.

When teams are in trade talks, they send scouts out that want to see these players.

Lol (side joke) could be why Brooks is stinking it up, throwing balls at folks

Let the noob explain you why guys like Paterson and Twill play limited minutes, knowing that guys like Lee, Hill, and AB are struggling.

    Are we title contenders??? NO
What do teams that are not title contenders do to improve??? Trades
What players do you trade??? Guys that actually have a hight market value
What do you need to raise your market value??? Playing time and stats (or the famous word "potential")

So knowing that for Gms to extract the best trade, they need to offer guys that, despite playing big mins, and fill up the stat sheet, are not as skilled as the other guy that comes for him (in the GMs opinion).....

Why do you think Pat is playing limited mins when Hill is struggling to be consistent???
Why do you think T will is playing limited mins when AB and Lee are struggling??? (even if for short periods of time)
Why do you think that Martin is playing his 3rd lowest mins per game season (despite being clearly the best player on our team and the most consistent one???

    on the other hand.....

Why do you think that Scola (despite the ups and downs of his performance, specially defensively, and the huge amount of PFs we have) is the guy with more mins per???
Why do you think Hill despite playing some pathetic games (not as regularly as some people say) keeps playing 20 mins (when sometimes guys like JJ could make a bigger impact)???
Why do you think that when Bud was playing like a scrub, there was not even an option for DM do send him to the D-league, and he continued to play the usual time (15-20 mins)???

I am not saying, A, B and C, will not be traded, and D, E and F will, all I am saying is that DM and Adelman work together, they both know what each one wants, and there are players that are being "protected" and RA is trying to put a winning team on the floor despite the "limitations".

Adelman when setting up a rotation, knows what players DM is offering in trade offers, and which ones DM will avoid giving up.....

Just make yourself a question, if T. Will and Pat were playing 30 mins, they would probably average big numbers, and imagine DM talking to GM X:

WHAT PLAYERS DO YOU THINK GM X WOULD DEMAND???? (the good players making millions on the bench, or the young studs playing big mins in rookie contracts)

RA is the one trying to use certain players more then others, and AT THE SAME TIME, play to win, very hard when you have good/great players not even playing.

And stop making literal analyses about what Adelman said in the video. Do you think a HOF coach thinks that just for being with the team is enough for him to use that player??? He had to justify the fact the T will doesn´t even play, and the only reason (that he could say) is the one he told us. Do you think he should say:

"Well, because we think T will is better then Bud Lee and AB, we are using these 3 more, until one of them or even all 3, are traded, which will happen very soon" ??????????

As Bima keep saying, be patient, DM will do his job, and Pat and T Will will be starters for the next 10 years, let´s just hope that the "scrubs" playing big mins are enough for us to land the BIG FISH & HIS FRIEND    .....

They are letting their defensive specialists go. Jared Jeffries, Shane Battier, Chcuk Hayes, and Yao Ming expire at the end of the season and have not been offered extensions. That's our interior and perimeter defense.

The rest of the roster is made up of young guys born in the mid to late '80s, except for Scola and Miller.

I feel your frustration. However, you stated truths, perhaps. Not facts. What is fact is that the Rox have an owner calling 'shots' on the direction of this team. DM the GM is implementing the direction, the plan, as well as he can. Is that good enough? Tough call as the entire NBA world is being held hostage at the feet of one MelDrama queen. Huh? There will be no major transactions and probably no transactions at all with teams who believe themselves to be 'in' on Melo. Peja and Ajinca = major?

I believe David Stern needs to get Nugs and Melo and his reps to crap or gut off said crapper in time for everyone to move forward before 2/24 comes...and goes.

I fear I can get tired of X+1 <20 win seasons year after year. Nope, thanks.

We can be a playoff team this year, in fact this would escape of mediocrity.
If the point of losing games is to get a high draft pick, you can trade for em also... everything has a price.

We could be in a worse situation, be realistic, and be a better fan. We're in a very good position to improve, we have a very good management... Little bit of patience, and while try to enjoy with the good things this team has.

    You don't give a 30 year old, in-their-prime power forward $47 million & say "We're rebuilding!".

sorry, guy, but you wanted the defensive specialists gone and the are gone at the end of the season. The rest of the roster is almost nothing but young guys. Oops, one old guy given a 5 year contract out of a 15 man roster. Lighten up. You overlook 10 guys to nit pick over 1 guy.
