The thing that still irks me about JVG is bringing in all those "burned out" Knicks; it is hard to forgive him for that. He almost turned the Rockets into a Knick's Retirement Home. And they weren't free, and they were horrible! He gave Charlie Ward a three year deal! Rod Strictland was so bad he could hardly run the length of the court.

Fortunately, he didn't last long, but some of the others sucked out valuable resources that could have been used to acquire better players. Every minute that Patrick Ewing sat on the Rocket's bench was wasted time and money in my opinion. Wow, I hated to see him on our bench, it was like blasphemy!

Say What? I thought JVG was king? King of Nothing! Saying "JVG is king" is like saying "I smoke crack". JVG King? Not!

Rick Is King! and if you don't believe me just ask Tinman.

I do agree RA is a great coach, but I dont like to call coach on your team a leader. Like PJ said, coach says everything they could, it is the player who is playing the game.

But many people at that time thought Balzers were better teams than bulls and lakers. But they lost to them badly. and people thought and still think Kings were a better team than lakers but they were kings of the queens. These events marked coach RA.

They lost to the Bulls in 6 games. Yeah.. "Badly"

It took a Robert Horry miracle for them to lose to the Lakers.

    As little John would say...

I don't mean this as a knock on JVG and his great defensive schemes, but I can't see him getting the team to play fluidly. I'm not saying he didn't want to see us run,in fact he implored the guys to do so,but his micromanaging would have hurt us,even though Spree and Camby were tremendous in NYC. The difference that I see is that JVG is more comfortable with older players than Rick.(That doesn't mean that JVG didn't give a chance to rookies like V-Span.)

Adelman has realized the importance of defense over time. It does of course hurt not to have guys like Yao and Deke on defense in the paint. It's up to the guys to do their best, with what they have. They know they have RA in their corner.

Coach A has a little bit better record than Cato. Lock Coach A up.
