    There's been a lot of people wishing that the team had Rick Adelman back because he wouldn't do the things that "McFail" would do. So, I find the following interesting:

    Substitute "McHale" for "Adelman," "Jeremy Lin" for "Ricky Rubio" and "Patrick" for "J.J." and you have the exact discussion that got Lin fans angry.

    rubio is overrated as hell, he's a terrible shooter.

    Im not even a LOF but how is this even comparable? Lol how do you compare mchale with adelman? And this doesnt explain the fact that mchale doesnt have the balls to bench Harden even if he plays horrible. And adelman would never let somebody iso as much as harden does

    2. Adelman did let Tracy McGrady go iso in 2007-2008 as much as Harden does. TMac's usage rate in 2007-08 was 30.5, higher than Harden's has ever been and he mostly created his own shots. Hell, Adelman even let Aaron Brooks go iso a ton in 2009-10.

    I am pretty sure Clyde Drexler ran his share of isos with Adelman, too.

    This is nothing new. Adelman has been doing this all season. He goes with which ever pg is playing well...some nights it's Rubio while other nights it's Barea. You'd have to actually watch the games and pay attention to know that.

    So you believe Rubio's not comparable to Lin but comparable to Harden? If so, Wolves fans should revolt because a player the caliber of Harden just got benched for JJ freaking Barea. An undersized, non-passing, shoot-first PG who isn't even a dead-eye shooter.

    Imagine Adelman on the Rockets. "Adelman benches Dwight Howard for Terrence Jones in the 4th."

    This is ridiculous. Adelman is a much better coach than McHale, and it's well-known that he's a coach players want to play for as well. Barea was a +9 in his 29 minutes, while Rubio was a -13 in his 19 minutes. I think it's pretty clear that Barea was having a much better game, so I don't see why people are second-guessing Adelman here.

    Harden has been benched in one game. Love is the comparable player to him. Has Love been benched yet this season?

    There are few games that Lin played well and still get benched.
    And, Rick is a way better coach than Kevin, at least at this point of their coaching career.
    And, what's your point of bringing up the LoF vs. Clutchfan again? We have only just started to settle the millions thread about Lin.
    LoFs are irrational, and people who hate LoFs are just as bad as the LoFs.
    Give it a rest, Carl.

    Do you consider 10 points on 3-5 shooting, 4 rebounds, 2 assists in 19 minutes a good game? Per 36 that's 19/8/4/60% shooting.

    Number1 - Adelman did not refer directly to Rubio hence the word "they" so no point of comparison.

    Number 2- Stats for Lin and Stats for Rubio different for the respective games. No comparison since refer to #1. The fact that Lin had a good game only aggravated Mcfail's comments at the time they were made.

    He's had this habit for some time now. Back in Sacramento, he used to bench his starting PG, first Jason Williams and later Mike Bibby, for Bobby Jackson in crunch time.

    Also, Adelman pissed off Tim Hardaway by benching him for BJ Armstrong, which eventually resulted in GSW trading Hardaway to Miami for Bimbo Coles and Kevin Willis. http://articles.sun-sentinel.com/19...7_1_tim-hardaway-big-mistake-latrell-sprewell

    I'm a big fan of accountability. You don't have to bench a guy but at least come at him verbally. But I think sometimes you have to live with the bad because it still gives you a better chance to win than the alternative. When McGrady fell off after surgery, Adelman had no problem introducing him to the bench.
